It works a treat
This device works a great deal better than my old hotshoe trigger set ever did, and the old kit was about twenty times the price. The documentation specifies the indoor range as at least 20 metres, and I've found that it works despite obstructions that would mask the signal from many, far more expensive triggers, making it an altogether more satisfactory product. It's neatly made, too, with a quality entirely belying the low price; and it's light as a feather, which is a great advantage when you're not using a tripod.A battery is supplied already in the trigger and, curiously, replacement is not mentioned in the instructions, but I found the cover securing screw concealed beneath the quality control label and it seems a simple enough job. It occurs to me that replacement is not mentioned because they can't encourage people to access the electronic components inside. The product description leaves a lot to be desired: it comes with only one receiver (which is all you need if your lighting heads have slave cells), the AAA batteries for the receiver are not included, and while it doesn't actually say so in the product details, it does work from a hotshoe. It's a pity it's not properly described. It easily deserves five stars anyway for the high functionality and astonishingly good value.

Inexpensive and works perfectly
My previous set of triggers pretty much feel to pieces after six years of use, cost around £200 and were large and obtrusive. These are small, easy to use and cost less than a quarter of the previous triggers.

Surprisingly Good...
I had low expectations for these due simply to how cheap they were. However,Box contains:1 Hotshoe Trigger1 Receiver (requires 2xAAA batteries) with 3.5mm attachment. Also contains additional adapters to suit all studio lights. There's no getting over the fact that these triggers are cheap and plastic, but what more do you want for the price? They work well, and have a very good range. (I've had them up to 12m away, they still worked)The Hotshoe is secure and won't detach from the camera unless you want it to.Very easy to use, and isn't power hungry.Overall, a very good deal for the price.

It's Garbage!
Just had a chance to use this is I'd bought it a while ago and I've been mostly using my elinchrom lights with built in receiver. So yeah anyway, completely wasted my money on this. It literally works from only 6 inches away, 6 INCHES!!! Like that's fantastic guys thanks for that! I would avoid this garbage piece of keech at all costs, just being honest.

Only 1 Receiver supplied by TCT !!
Whilst I can recommend the RT-16 Wireless Studio Flash I would advise potential buyers to take care when buying from TCT !Whilst searching on Google for an additional RT-16 system I received a "Best Deal" pop-up from Amazon.Upon clicking the links I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a RT-16 transmitter with 4 receivers for only £9.04. As there were "only 4 left" I wasted no time in ordering and a parcel was delivered a few days later - unfortunately only 1 receiver was included, not the 4 that were advertised !I immediately contacted Amazon and TCT regarding the shortages and requesting the missing 3 receivers as per contract and was fobbed off with stock replies followed by a refund. AsTCT failed to address my specific complaints I suspected they were indulging in misleading advertising so I checked Amazon and found other TCT adverts that offered really low prices for multiple items ie 3 receivers for just over £5 !I then notfied both TCT and Amazon that I wished the contract to be complied with and that I intended to lay complaints against them with Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading.I requested the Registered Name, Registered Address and VAT Registration Number of the firm trading as TCT,and as yet - although legally obliged to do so - TCT has not furnished this information.Further research led to this section where I have found that other buyers have been misled by TCT advertising. Also, despite being advised of the facts, Amazon still continued to publish misleading listing/adverts from TCT on their site.RT-16 ReviewI have been using an RT16 system for over a year without any problems and as I use Bowens 400D Monolites the 3.5mm and 6.5mm supplied jackplugs are ideal for my set up. I seem to recall that the system is marketed in two versions and that the plugs and leads for this Studio version are different to those for the non-studio version. The use of a hot-shoe to cold-shoe adaptor will avoid any fried camera problems.

It seems like a pretty stupid place to put it.Works Very Well - But Battery Scew Hidden
I bought this Neewer flash trigger, to replace a broken Elinchrom Skyport transmitter - and I am very pleased with it, overall. It was very easy to set up, mainly because there are no channel settings on the transmitter. I only have a small studio and it fired the flashed from the camera, in front of and behind and to the side of my Elinchrom flash heads. from any distance I tried.I went as far as 10 meters away, and even into other rooms, including my office which is 2 rooms away from the studio, and it worked perfectly. However, the reason for my 4 (and not 5) star rating is that the transmitter appeared to be sealed, and there was no way I could replace the supplied battery - unlike the receiver, which takes 2 AAA batteries, not supplied. It took me along time to realise that the screw to open the transmitter is hidden under the quality checked sticker, It seems like a pretty stupid place to put it.

Inexpensive and works great
So impressed with this little gizmo for my studio. Its small and light so doesn’t distract or get in the way and most importantly works great - no different at all to my much more expensive one that I dropped and needed a quick replacement for.
