I wanted to give it a solid month so that I could write a truthful review. I have very strange 3A/2B hair very low porosity hair, it's a mix. Every other product I've tried, including many (most) of the products from CGM have been.. subpar. Too oily, too dry, caused hair loss. Whatever. I use nothing on my hair besides shampoo, conditioner, and maybe a leave in - no heat, air dry only. 1x per week. This stuff is the best I've found, nearly flawless.The conditioner is heavy, but easy to "plop" or just comb through. Detangling is easy. I would recommend not getting much on your scalp but that's the case with any conditioner. Even with small amounts, it does form a very light "cast" over my hair that will set the curl. It isn't crispy, just kind of.. Tight? If I use a comb, it fixes right up quickly. Leaves my hair perfectly soft. WAY, way more shiny than normal (it is usually very dull).The shampoo feels great. It has a slight medicine-y smell to it, but I find it to be pleasant and kind of natural. It isn't strong after the shower and isn't something I could see irritating most people. I have very sensitive scalp and it, honestly, is a great cleanser. Has done wonders without drying my hair out.Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who asked and even a few who don't. I've never been happy with my hair until now. I bought these while I was on a journey to find something that would actually work for my hair. My review may be a little different from some of the other ones because my hair is not curly, not in the slightest. I'm half asian, half caucasian and have very thick, course, and straight hair that seemed to dry out and subsequently break way too easy.While doing some research, I was finding that I may have low porosity hair, which means that it's difficult for my hair to gain and lose moisture. It also means that some thicker ingredients that work for some people's hair (like coconut oil) is an absolute nightmare in mine. I also get product buildup pretty easily, so I was looking for a clarifying shampoo that wouldn't absolutely strip my hair, like ones that contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate.I came across Shea Moisture, specifically this brand for Low Porosity and it works BEAUTIFULLY for my hair! No product buildup, clean and very soft hair, the best hair I've had all my life. I'm working on growing my hair out right now, and my hair stylist says I hardly even need trims anymore because of just how healthy it is.One thing to note here is that the conditioner really gets absorbed in the hair, so it doesn't feel constantly 'slimy' before you wash it out the way other conditioners with a lot of silicones do. For that reason, people say that they feel like it's not there, or that it isn't doing anything, but it's just the opposite. Your hair is soaking up the great moisture and is on it's way to growing healthy!

The shampoo smells okay. It has a mild fragrance. I don’t like the consistency of the shampoo. It’s very watery. Even after shaking it several times. I don’t know if it’s the manufacturer fault or Amazon fault. Whoever’s to blame I don’t like it. I also don’t like that the shampoo was leaking when I received it. The cap was cracked. The product was wrapped twice but still ended up leaking. The consistency of the conditioner was great but I didn’t like the smell. The smell was awful. After drying my locs, I’m happily surprised. I love my locs. They are soft and looks well moisturized. And my scalp isn’t itchy. This maybe a game changer for me.

I have wavy/curly white girl hair that gets weighed down by most curly products. This shampoo & conditioner is AMAZING! My curls are bouncy & my hair looks great! I like the scent but I’m sure it’s perhaps not for everyone (it’s not a sweet or flowwry scent). I love that my hair is both clean & moisturized but isn’t weighed down! Will buy again!

Shampoo: If you have low porosity hair, this dShampoo is directly tailored for your needs. I like how quickly my hair started to feel clean with this shampoo. Also, a little goes a long way. It smells like herbs but it's not overpowering. I like it. I lathered my hair twice & it felt squeaky clean. It is also a clarifying shampoo. You also feel that tingly sensation that I like.I had damaged relaxed ends & it was severely knotted after. I don't know if it was because my ends were damaged, but I'd never try this on damaged relaxed hair again. I had to cut it all off, it was a good thing I was contemplating a big chop.Conditioner: My hair was extremely knotted & it seemed to loosen the natural hair a bit. It is a low porosity conditioner so it's not heavy, but I think it could've offered more slip. It is lighweight but for tangled hair, you may need some more slip.
