Make sure you read the very easy instructions. At first I pulled off the little cap at the bottom and it didn’t work (this was for my 11 year old daughter who gets the hiccups fairly often). Then I looked at the instructions again and realized you put the cap on but have to choose either child or adult. I tried child but it didn’t work so I switched the cap to adult and it worked. I was still a little skeptical because at this point my daughter had drank a bunch of water but her hiccups were gone so I figured maybe it worked.The very next morning she got the hiccups again so we tried the straw on the adult setting, she took three big sips and the hiccups did not return! She was so happy and so was I. Originally I thought the price of 16 bucks was a little high but seeing as how this worked so effectively, I think it was worth it.

Finally, a product that really does stop hiccups! It's easy to use (just insert it in a glass of water, and sip according through instructions!).

Saw on Shark Tank and bought it in hopes that it would help with my significant other’s hiccups (his last forever and really hurt him). We have both used the straw, along with our daughter and son, and we have all had success with it. It is terrific!It is also really easy to carry around although I do wish it came with a carrying case/bag. I know that is perhaps an odd comment that I carry this straw around in me 24/7 (lol) but I store mine in my purse and am considering actually getting another one (maybe even more) so that we have them at home and on-the-go for when the hiccups hit (like I said, hiccups are unusually painful for my SO, having this on-hand has proven to be a great relief to him). As mentioned, it would be great if they could actually send it with a pouch to keep it in but for the price and the benefit, this has been amazing and is absolutely worth it.Fyi, I also hear it helps with “cancer hiccups”. I do not know this from personal experience but saw comments on the SubReddit for Shark Tank when I was considering purchasing the product that conveyed how grateful purchasers were to provide a loved one battling cancer with this straw that greatly decreased the time the patient was hiccuping. I thought that was pretty amazing if it could work for people with cancer. Thankfully my wonderful nephew had JUST “beat” cancer before I came across this product but I really wish I had came across this item so much sooner so that I could have purchased it for him since, when I asked him if “cancer hiccups” were a “thing” (not trying to be rude, you hopefully understand what I mean as he did), he confirmed that these dreadful nuisances were absolutely real. Apparently they had actually caused him a lot of additional discomfort and so I really wish I’d known to get them but I will from now on and hopefully these straws will somehow become mainstream in hospitals and related fields.We are still amazed every time it promptly “cures” the hiccups. My SO has tried so many different remedies (granted, I’m not sure he’s ever found another product that claimed to do what this one does so I think it’s just been stuff he found online to try when hiccups hit him) and this is the only thing that has worked. The fact that I’m writing a long review means that it impacted us, positively in this case, enough that I felt I needed to share our experiences with those considering because it has just been such a huge help to us. I recommend this to anyone who is seeking relief and hasn’t gotten results elsewhere. I get the hiccups every day sometimes multiple times daily. I tried this and it immediately worked. The tiny hole at the bottom of the straw goes in the water. You have to suck it till you get the water. My hiccups were gone. I love this simple tool that actually works!

Bought this for my husband. He was very satisfied. We were both pleased at how fast it worked. Great buy and would buy again if necessary. If you have hiccups a lot this product is worth the purchase.

This straw is a game changer, it so easy to use will still getting rid of my hiccups in just a few sips of water. It works so well and helps with hiccups so much!!

Bought it months ago but never had a reason to use until last night. I woke up with one of the worst cases of hiccups I ever had. I grabbed my straw and a small glass of water thinking I had nothing to lose by trying it. I tried ONE gulp and they were gone and stayed gone. I was able to fall back asleep. So rarely do we find a product that does exactly what it says it will. THIS one did! I'm going to buy another to keep in my purse. If you are hesitant to buy it, don't be. This really works!
