Biltong Depot - Crown Droewors (1 lb) 16oz South African Droewors Beef Sausage Sticks, Air-Dried Sausages - No Sugar, Gluten Free, No Nitrates - Healthy Snacks

This is the best droewors I have found in the US. I got hooked on this stuff after spending time in South Africa and Namibia. There are a few other brands out there as well but this one is my favorite and the closest in flavor, texture, and consistency to what I grew accustomed to in Southern Africa. Not too dry, with that classic hint of vinegar and coriander that makes droewors one of my favorite snack foods in the outdoors. A few sticks of droewors and a couple of rusks is a great combination to fuel hours of hiking, hunting, or outdoor adventure.

Not overly dry like Stryve , similar flavor profile, maybe a little better flavor.At $28 a pound, they are on the pricier side for sure. Though they appear to be of excellent quality and I know it requires skill, time and experience to execute such a product. So, to me it is worth it.I know they offer a 2lb discount on their website ($47). Maybe they can offer a bigger discount for 5lb bulk packs ;) or at least offer the 2lb bulk pack here on Amazon.

This droewors is delightful, bringing back fond memories of being in South Africa.They arrive fresh, with a great texture and an even better taste, and delight even those who are unfamiliar with the flavor profile.My only issue is they disappear far too quickly from my cupboard.

A snack to enjoy without guilt, these are excellent and (I think?) a reasonable price. My previous brand seems to have doubled their price, these remain in a more sensible range and I'll buy again, though suggestions from those who've tried other brands will be read with interest and gratitude.

These are pretty good biltong snacks, but they do contain MSG which limits their appeal and technically makes it not "paleo" as true paleo doesn't include food additives like this. I'll be looking for non-MSG containing biltong from now on.

I have tried out a fair amount of Biltong stores in the US. For flavor and convince of Ordering I really think Biltong Depot is the best so far!

This sausage was try and tough to chew. Perhaps it was old. I shared this with guests as I hosted a South Aftican wine tasting because we had the opportunity to bre in South Africa all of March 2024. I was embarassed because I thought they would enjoy this.
