These are the best puzzles. The picres are clear and the pieces are well made. I have had both the escape and normal puzzles. Both are fun.

Great puzzle! Well made. I bought it for a 7 year old boy who loves a challenge.Came on time and well packaged.

Bought for grandchildren to put together during holiday break. Age range 7-12. Two moms and grandmother helped, too. Puzzle was appropriate for all these experienced puzzlers. The colors were somewhat subdued for attracting them to the puzzle, but once going, they were eager. The clues for solving the "escape room" challenge were obscure without consulting the website, but then easy. Expected excellent Ravensburger quality, pleasing to handle.

We've done 3-4 of these and really enjoyed this one. Did it with 3 generations, ages 8-80, no problems, and everyone enjoyed the puzzling, mysteries, and solving.

While the puzzle would be fine to assemble for kids 9 and up, I think they would have great difficulty solving the "escape" clues. I have done many of the adult Ravensburger Escape puzzles and was curious about the kids' puzzles. What is nice is the size and number of pieces. This Wizard School puzzle had better coloring than the adult puzzles that are dark and hard to see in putting interchangeable pieces together. Because I have done many adult escape puzzles, I was familiar with this company's logic in the clues and solutions, which made it easier for me to solve them, but even then I struggled with a couple of them. I do not think this would be easy for kids to solve. The company does provide a scan code which directs you to their website (in several languages) to provide help to find the solutions. They provide individual steps for each clue that you can reveal each one separately. This way you can get a hint to start with, try to figure it out from there & if you need further help go to the next hint or review all the steps with the answer. Although a "kids" puzzle, I think adults would enjoy it as the clues are challenging enough & with larger pieces it can be assembled quickly. Older adults - you still might need that magnifying glass for the puzzle after the puzzle.

I had to get a return as this puzzle just never arrived. I was really disappointed and am nervous to order again. It looked fun.

My son received this for his birthday so this isn’t going to show up as a verified purchase. The puzzle is good quality and the pieces are nice and sturdy. But WHAT CLUES?! What exactly are we solving? The QR code said it was optional if you needed help but maybe it’s really not optional. We found the wand and hat, cool. What are the other 5 mysteries it supposedly has? The only thing we got was a little blurb about your hat and wand missing and then an envelope with an incorrect answer in it. The hat and wand were no where near where the answer paper showed they would be. My son was so excited and this was a total let down. We found the wand and hat while putting it together so there was nothing to do after that. Cute for just a puzzle, but nothing escape room-ish about it.
