I’ve tried several hair colors over the years, but L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme in Medium Brown is the first one that truly worked the way I wanted. It covers my grays beautifully and blends them into a lighter shade of my natural hair, almost like subtle highlights — which I love! The result looks natural, not flat or overly dark like some other brands. I usually reapply about every 6 weeks to keep it fresh, even though the coverage lasts up to 8 weeks. My natural hair color is dark brown with green undertones, with some grays in my bangs and temples. When I use this box dye I get a beautiful ginger auburn color rather than the blonde ginger color on the box, but that's to be expected given my starting color. The copper in this hair dye neutralizes the green undertones in my hair and the effect is very flattering. However, it didn't cover all the grays around my temples. I did leave the product on for 45 minutes and fully saturated my hair with the dye, so my application wasn't the problem. That being said, the color is beautiful. I get lots of compliments on my ginger hair.

Other reviewers are definitely on to something; this pulls my light brown hair up to a nice light to medium ash blonde.I use another loreal one usually but tried this and am so happy I did. The formula seems faster, more effective, ashier like most mentioned and my hair quality after is better than others.This would be the one that might keep me from a salon for a while. I will keep using this - the conditioner is also magic.

This particular dye is wonderful. So easy to use for touching up roots or for a complete dye job. I love using the kit as shown, as it comes with an actual comb top that can be used instead of the single nozzle which is mainly for a complete dye job. Also, because of the comb applicator that can be used for dying roots, it goes on quickly! This brand does not have a harsh smell to it, and it leaves your hair soft and beautiful. Its a great item!

Easiest home hair coloring I've ever used. The color is true to the picture on the box. The cream applicator tips, and post shampoo and conditioner are wonderful additions to this kit. Easy to follow instructions, full coverage in 30 mins.

I love this hair color. When I'm needing to save some money I'll use this instead of going to a salon and you really can't tell the difference. It does not leave your hair an orange weird color - it gives it a nice shine and even gives you the option to add highlights if you choose. The instructions are super easy to follow and everything that you need to color your hair comes in the box - even gloves! It also comes with a conditioner that lasts me a couple washes after I've colored my hair and it smells great!
