The quality of this stem exceeded my expectations. The unit is well made. Once installed, it performed as well as other carbon fiber stems that costed 6x more. Since carbon stems are rare (not as many on the market as they were 15-30 years ago), I decided to try this brand. I wasn’t disappointed.

This is a spot on match to the RXL handlebars I purchased. Again, because the glossy surface on the bars is a little slick, you will have to use fiber grip, otherwise the bars will spin on you. After using fiber grip, the bars stay in place and are nice and stiff. I have sensed no flex in them as a casual/recreational road cyclist. Can't answer for those who race.

Light, Strong and looks the business! First, I should point out that this is not full carbon fiber, it is carbon over aluminum, which is not necessarily a bad thing! This is light and still gives you excellent strength. Thought the 17 degree angle was going to be too much, but it was actually perfect for my needs. This stem far exceeded my expectations and looks stunning on my Carbon Schwinn S20! Combined with a glossy carbon set of handlebars, the look is spectacular! I am quickly becoming a big fan of RXL SL Carbon products! I have purchased several items for my bike and they have all exceeded my expectations!

This did the job I needed it to do and it was cheap.

Packaging was fine but has a big gouge in the side of the stem. Wont effect functionality but still kind of a bummer for an expensive stem.

This stem was delivered quickly and as described. It installed easily and was performing well until on the first outdoor ride one of the stem bolts loosened and fell out. I have been maintaining my own bikes for over 15 years and often adjust stems without this issue. I also have this same stem in a longer length and have not had this issue. Maybe this was a fluke? In any case the stem is useless until I can get a replacement bolt set.It was not clear how to contact the seller about getting a replacement bolt, so I am posting here. I would be happy to update my rating if I can get a new bolt.

Its pretty nice. Not full carbon, its alloy then carbon covered, which is really what you want for strength. Initially, I thought they sent the wrong length, but it really is an 80 mm. (50 yr old man with short arms) True 17 degree angle, and shorter length gets me more upright. Lower back cant take the Aero anymore. What good is aero if you're uncomfortable and get back aches? Nice looking, Can't be beat for the price. Thanks much.
