The bag I received today, April 14 2015, does not list silicon dioxide. It does list rice concentrate.

Q: What country does this come from?

The package does not state where each herb/spice in the mix is from. The powder contains cumin, oregano, coriander, garlic, allspice, cloves, and may also contain rice concentrate or equivalent anti-clump ingredient. All are specified as being organic and non-irratiated. Chili powder is almost always a blend of spices. If you're looking for "plain chili powder" you would want to search for Chile powder as that is the proper spelling of the pepper itself. I buy both. This is for things that call for chili powder. I use the real deal in other spice blend such as homemade taco seasoning.

Excellent Chili powder!Frontier Co-op has always been reliable and good. This time when my 16 oz. package arrived, I thought it looked a little small but I weighed it on my kitchen scale and it weighed more than 16 ounces! Thank you for your great products and generosity!

Great organic chili powder, salt free so it does need some salt to make it flavorful.

Great organic chili powder, without added salt. At first it did not taste as flavorful as I expected, so started adding salt using a salt grinder in steps until the flavors really bloomed! I would much rather add salt to suit my taste, versus having too much salt included in a spice that I cannot remove.This is now my favorite spice, great on firm tofu, rice and beans, chicken too! I add it at the end of the cooking, so the flavors bloom in the hot oil used for cooking the tofu or chicken, without cooking the spices.

Best Chili Powder

I received the chili powder right on time. Opened it up smelled it, tasted a little. Wonderful flavor no added salt, no fillers. The nicest chili power I have found. I put some in a small jar then stored the rest in a glass jar that I vacuum sealed.

Best Chili Powder I've Ever Used!

Must admit that I was somewhat hesitant with this Chili Powder as it's a blend as opposed to pure Chili Powder (which can be difficult to find). That said, my hesitancy went straight out the window once I used it ~ it’s FANTASTIC! Outstanding flavor, with the perfect amount warm smokiness to balance any Tex-Mex or Mexican dish. The larger bag was a plus too ~ good value for a premium product 👍🏼

Love this chili powder so far. We've stopped buying store bought taco seasoning and make our own alot. I kept running out of chili power. This has a great flavor we are enjoying.
