Adhesive not good???
Others are saying the adhesive for the velcro isn't good, but I've had no problems with mine. Maybe they changed to a better kind since the comments. Maybe it's because I used both on one side so it gave more surface area to cling to the previous velcro that was already on my receiver.

Tough Velcro
Great product for the price. My only complaint is that the velcro sticks harder than the adhesive itself so don't expect to be able to easily pull one of the carriers off to replace it with another as the adhesive isn't strong enough to withstand that multiple times. It finally ripped off on me after only a handful of attempts but the velcro sticks together strong as hell.

Perfect for use in a pouch
I was looking for a good way to carry shotgun shells in a belt pouch without just tossing them in. These fit perfectly in the Maxpedition Janus pouch, and I'm sure in many other similar ones, as well. Keeps all shells lined up and easily accessible. I don't like sticking things to the side of a gun, so I've never tried using the adhesive and velcro. These are exactly what I was looking for.

Not durable doesn’t stay on gun
Bought this to mount on my Remington 870. The Velcro stuck fine to the gun however the two Velcro pieces attaching to each other were not very sturdy. Went to reload and the whole ammo holder came off the gun. This item would work fine if it stuck to the gun so you could actually reload with no issues.

Simple and strong!
This shell caddy is strong and simple. It's perfectly flexible while still holding the shells firmly. They work very well on my pulse rifle to hold my M40 grenades!

Ok
The holders themselves are ok, little flimsy but whatever.The hook and loop has adhesive that is COMPLETELY WORTHLESS.Sorry I can't overstate this enoughI have tried to make it work but either the adhesive fails, or the hook and loop material pulls loose from the adhesive backing.End of story, I am still looking for an adhesive that will hold them on.

Not the best
The quality of the shell holder is fine. The Velcro kinda ruins it, thought it would work better on my shotgun but not the best. Have not shot my gun with it mounted yet so not sure if it will stay attached or not.
