EltaMDUV Stick Sunscreen for Face and Body, Mineral SPF 50+ Face Stick Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide For Kids and Adults, Sensitive Skin

Bought this at recommendation of dermatologist and it was more than I wanted to spend but it works so well and also moisturizes! It goes on smoothly and lasts all day!

I really lazy so rolling this in is great. There’s no white cast. Great for sensitive skin. Very high quality sunblock. The stick was harder than I thought it was going to be. The formula doesn’t glide as easy as I would like but I think that’s because of all the zinc oxide making it a stiff. I primarily use this for my face but it’s great for body use as well. It’s travel size and fits in your purse easily. I don’t know how well this would go on top of make up because the formula is so stiff. Overall really great and will buy again.

So far so good! Some things to note about this sunscreen stick:1) It has a bit of a funny smell, like raw shea butter. Not an unpleasant scent, just different from the fragrances of most skincare products.2) It’s a solid stick, obviously. The main inactive ingredient is sunflower seed wax which helps it hold its shape. If the stick is cold, then it will be difficult to apply smoothly and will pull on the skin. If you’re having trouble with application, try putting it in your pocket to warm up a bit before applying. You could also heat it *lightly* with a hairdryer. But only very very lightly, as all sunscreens should be kept out of excessive heat.3) Despite the matte finish, it has a slightly tacky feel to it that doesn’t really go away. Tapping on a bit of face powder helps a little, but it’s more work than it’s worth, to me.4) And the best for last: this sunscreen is actually sheer. Like most people, I get a white cast from every physical sunscreen I’ve ever tried. This one looks like I have nothing on my face. That being said, I’m a believer that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. So I will update this review after putting the sunscreen to the test in the wild. I burn and break out easily, so pray for me my fellows 🙏

What I like most about the EltaMD UV Stick Sunscreen for Face and Body is the portability and ease of use of the sunscreen in a solid form. What I disliked was how the sunscreen left a sticky feeling on my skin. I'm very pale as I avoid the sun due to me having lupus so I don't tan much so I can't comment on leaving a white cast on my skin.The stick applicator makes applying the sunscreen easy and once applied works well to prevent sun exposure. I've used it on my face, neck and arms during a recent vacation and it worked well to protect me from sun exposure. I also loved how I could tuck the applicator in my purse as it fit nicely and didn't weigh a bunch.

As someone with vitiligo sunscreen is the most important part of my day. I read a ton of reviews and articles about this sunscreen and decided to give it a shot. The price point is a little higher than I normally pay but I’m so glad I did it! This sunscreen is awesome, works better than anything I’ve ever used. Will be re-ordering and trying that other products

Highly recommended specially if you have rosacea’s.

I have been using plain old Elta that comes in a plastic jar with lid for years - now it seems you cannot buy Elta in that form factor any longer (bummer bc I dislike the new packaging) plus have some travel coming up so thought I wd try the stick - DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY - it is hard and waxy and difficult yo apply and has a funny smell … I’ll use it for light application but am now seeking a new go-to sunscreen unfortunately because ur skin is important as your biggest organ for real. Container has a nice compact size. Easy to apply, however it does leave a white cast. I needed this product to be able to apply it without skin contact between my fingers and my face. But it requires some rubbing to distribute it evenly.
