I set up a new workbench in the corner of a room and i quickly became apparent that the lighting was terrible, unworkable after dusk. That led me to buying this and I was skeptical when I bought it, but it's a great lamp for this type of scenario. First, it's low voltage which means low heat, lower energy usage, even better safety. The cord on the power adapter plug is 6 feet long and plenty long for most locations. The clamp is well built and strong and firmly mounts the fixture to your desk. I didn't measure but it could handle a 2" countertop with no trouble by the looks of it. The gooseneck is strong, but flexible; the head stays where it is put and it doesn't sag or drift with time. Very sturdy. Finally the controls are simple, intuitive, and allow for a wide range of different light color and brightness for reading, doing precision crafts, or preparing a meal. I am very pleased with the light and would definitely buy again.

I bought this to work on embroidery in my somewhat dimly lit living room. Since it's nice and long and flexible - it's so versatile in where you put and position it. It's nice and bright and perfect for doing detailed work. I'm very pleased!!

There are scads of these, they all look alike. I bought the one that was more expensive because I figured the quality would be better and it does seem to be of good quality, the only problem is it is not very bright. It may be good for reading a book or as they show it over computer keyboard, but I was looking for something that looked good and had a bright light. For me the different settings were really just a waste,most the time I believe anyone would just want the brightest light which really isn't that bright and that's it. The different kinds of light are kind of neat but really kind of useless for me,I'm not putting on makeup.

The desk lamp arrived quickly, it was very easy to install and to figure out how to use (there are instructions but it is intuitive). 2 taps changes the light color from bright white to yellow white to yellow). One tap is on / off. And continuous touch changes brightness level. I am super happy with it! The design is simple and the clamp doesn't take much space on the desk (about 2x3 inches). Perfect for work or I can swivel it so it functions as a halo light for zoom calls. The photo makes it look as if the light gives a bright spot, but it doesn't in reality. Great value, function, simple in design and versatile. Highly recommend it.

I build guitars as a hobby, and it is essential that I have excellent light when finishing and assembling the guitars. I use this light in my shop, clamping it directly to my bench. The clamping feature provides the flexibility to move the light around the bench to places where it is needed. It is also a durable light that works well in my wood shop.I love this light. Not only can you alter the brightness, but also the tone of the light, making it ideal for my applications. I could see this used equally well in the office or the shop. Its thin, modern profile means that it doesn't get in the way and it looks great.

I needed a new desk light and picked this one based on its reviews not the style. After getting it I realized this is a great cool light for my desk. The multi-levels of brightness and the ability to adjust the color tone from tungsten to incandescent is awesome. The flexible shaft allows you to move it from spot to spot if you need a little extra light in a spot but believe me, you won't as it lights up everything. The clamp is really well made and sturdy. The light looks a little quirky and odd but don't let that fool you, its an awesome light. Now I need to get another one for my workbench in the garage. Way to go HoKone !!!!!

This gooseneck lamp's neck is long enough to allow me to attach it to a stand next to my chair, and then position it directly over my head (to avoid having the light source in my field of vision). The mount and neck hold the position well - even though most of the neck is nearly horizontal, putting the maximum stress on the neck. I can easily operate the touch-pads (without looking) by simply raising my arm and touching one of the two pads on the topside of the light. (One pad controls ON/OFF and brightness; the other cycles through the "colors", and both are positive-acting in that they work consistently without experiencing "double-taps" where a setting would be skipped over inadvertently). I use one of these lamps above my laptop's "desk" (which also serves as a workbench for occasional electronics repairs and similar "fine work". I needed extra light for the fine work, and this lamp works great for the purpose. Sometimes, adjusting the color of the light improves the visibility of certain parts by improving their contrast against adjacent items; this is very helpful in some situations where small parts are difficult to see against their backgrounds. The illumination from this lamp is a big improvement over even portable LED "work lights" that I've tried for my projects, and - unlike the work lights - these lamps are up out of the way. Very pleased with them so far.
