Great Scooter.
I have to say, this scooter has been an absolute game-changer for me. It's my daily driver, and it's held up incredibly well under some really harsh conditions. Whether I'm cruising through heavy traffic or navigating bumpy roads, this scooter always gets me where I need to go with ease. And let me tell you, the ride is super comfortable. Even on longer journeys, I never feel any discomfort or fatigue. It's just a smooth, easy ride all the way.One of the things I appreciate most about this scooter is its battery life. It really does last as long as the manufacturer claims it does, and that's been a real lifesaver for me. Plus, the battery charges up really quickly, so I never have to wait long before I can hit the road again.Overall, I can't recommend this scooter enough. It's reliable, comfortable, and just a joy to ride. Whether you're using it for commuting, running errands, or just cruising around town, it's definitely worth checking out.

I'm happy with my purchase
I like the extra tire and inner tube. I like its rated for 18mph but I am able to get up to 30+mph. The scooter has a good kick to it (My first scooter) so it picks up speed fast. I am happy with it. Dislikes. carry a extra charger on you or leave it somewhere the faster you go the faster the battery drains. Front light is bright enough to see potholes before you hit them. Also this thing is heavy around 40lbs or so.

Fast, Beautiful and Built like a tank! Father of Five.
I’m a father of five children. I have bought many electric scooters over the past 10 years and me weighing 215lbs this bad boy is fast hits top speed no problem. Reminds me of the pick up like an electric car meaning It just goes with zero hesitation. Built like an old Cadillac meaning it’s solid construction but has the brains of a Volvo X90 T8 or Mercedes if you will. Now I didn’t buy for myself but out of all the scooters in my garage this is the one I grab to get the mail or just cruise around with my kids if my son isn’t riding it of course. I bought this for my 10 year old and at first I thought this is too big for him which might be but he is still able to ride with no problem. I also thought too fast for him which is also probably true 😂 but he wears his helmet and flys up and down our very hilly roads with ease. Me too! Segway made a real nice product here. Even comes with an extra 10 inch full size tire! Must down load the app on phone to take full advantage of any of the Segway products. You can adjust the lights and speed on the app and track movement etc. If you download the Segway app my sons user name is TylersRidez and can see pictures and videos in posting section. Very cool well built scooter which I’m sure will last a long time. Thank you Amazon for making purchase easy! Had delivered in one day as advertised. All around great experience. Will upload videos of scooter soon but for size I uploaded a picture of scooter next to my GMC Yukon XL. It’s a beast!

Many Safety Concerns Due to Severe Product Issues
Within 7 months of buying this product the battery displayed significant signs of deterioration. Often times riding the scooter, I would experience very scary situations such as the scooter speed suddenly dropping or eventually coming to a full stop. When trying to start the scooter following this, a loud grinding sound could be heard. I have tried numerous times to contact the Segway Ninebot customer service but am sent in a constant loop. The phone number provided forces you to write an email, providing no option to contact a representative. After writing an email, I am transferred between 5 different reps all who ask the same information only for no resolution to be provided. The representatives do not provide any real support in this and it seems like the company does not care about the safety concerns this product poses. After a full year of correspondence with this horrible company, have not been provided a viable solution. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, there are many other companies offering better versions of this!!!

Took my new F40 out for a test ride
I bought two of these electric scooters to take with us on short private plane flights to get around town when we landed. I’m an avid cyclist but a normal bicycle won’t fit in the small luggage compartment of a 4-seater aircraft. I was looking for a scooter that was well built, had good range, could handle some hilly terrain, and was relatively lightweight. Yesterday I decided to take my new Segway-Ninebot F40 out for a 9 mile test ride to see how it would do. I did all the testing in sport mode. Here’s what you need to know:1) Setup and first impressions. First the Ninebot F40 is solidly built. Assembly and setup were easy overall. However, the enclosed instruction book has ridiculously tiny print and isn’t terribly helpful. Moreover, the locking mechanism on the steering column requires excessive force to lock and unlock. Also, the height is not adjustable. Once assembled, you need to know that you need to do a running start before the motor will kick in. This requirement is a safety feature, and not a problem. The advertised weight of the F40 is 34.8 lbs. Some of the scooters with longer range are 7-8 lbs. heavier. I’ll assume the claimed weight is accurate. Carrying a scooter around that weighs 35 lbs. does take some effort. Don’t dismiss the importance of being lightweight.2) Range. At 9 miles, both the Ninebot and it’s app were reporting a little more than half the battery charge left. I was riding on mixed terrain and weigh about 185 lbs. I considered this test successful and the range consistent with what was advertised.3) Terrain. The advertising claims the F40 can handle up to a 20% grade. This claim seems highly exaggerated. Grades are difficult to measure, since the steepness will vary over the distance. I took the F40 up a grade that rose 50 feet over one tenth of a mile, or 10%. With a running start, I got about a third of the way up before the scooter came to a stop. I walked it to the top. I tried a second climb that was a bit gentler, and made it about 2/3rd’s up before coming to a stop. Obviously rider weight plays a role in climbing. As I’ve said, I’m about 185 lbs. I regularly climb both of these grades on my bicycle with some effort in the lowest gear. I consider the climbing ability to be mediocre. That said, these were steep grades. The scooter will slow down on gentler grades but you’ll continue along.4) The ride. I had no trouble cruising at 18 mph in sport mode on flat terrain. The ride is a lot of fun and 18 mph is plenty of speed. That’s also about the same as my cycling speed on flat terrain. The pneumatic tires provide a comfortable ride on decent roads. I did try a bit of off-road, and the F40 handled that pretty well too. The Segway app isn’t terribly useful. It’s basically a mileage logger and little more. Navigation would be useful. I installed a Quad lock to hold my phone on the handlebars. I’ll probably use Google Maps to navigate when I ride.Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. We’ll be taking it with us on day trips to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. I think the F40 would be great for short commutes and riding around a beach community. I hope you find this review helpful. Normally I don’t write reviews, but this product is a serious investment and you should be properly informed.
