I am sorry for the mistake I made. Earlier I answered you that it can not be powered via the USB port. It is a wrong answer. It can be powered via the computers's USB port.

This will not step down the video to composite. This keeps the 1080 signal and pushes it down SDI. I turn it back into HDMI on the other end for long range monitors. Note that this will only push through about 100ft of standard SDI before signal loss. They are low power.
