Melissa & Doug Giant Black Lab - Lifelike Stuffed Animal Dog (over 2 feet tall)

I bought this as a training decoy to work with my dog-reactive dogs...and boy howdy is it working as a convincing decoy! I have kept it hidden from the problem dogs, but even my mild-mannered dog-friendly dog was growling at it and trying to sniff its butt. The cats FREAKED, especially when I went and locked it in a closet! Even I scared myself when I left it in the bathroom momentarily and saw it out of the corner of my eye...confusion abounds. This fun little fake addition to my pack is perfect for creating a safe, controlled environment to work on dog reactivity with my REAL dogs. (And is very cute and soft, too) :)It is very sturdy, stands on its own with no problem, and is exactly as pictured. Perfect for dog trainers like myself to work on dog reactivity.

This is an awesome product I bought for my CPR company. I added a PetCPR/First Aid class to my business. My students and I have probably run over 1000 compressions on this life size and almost life weight dog. No seams have broken, no damage to the product, and my students love it being realistic. It's not full of stuffing making it thin and mushy. The interior is stiff and sturdy, making this the perfect product for my needs.With that said, it does scare my dogs LOL!If my kids were younger, I probably would've bought them one.

Very life like large stuffed dog; given as a gift. A good quality Melissa and Doug product; stands evenly on all four legs without tipping. Is huggable, but not for sitting on. Make sure you have the space for this standing dog.

We rescue Black Labs and just recently rescued another from a shelter. At the shelter up on a wall shelf I notice they had this stuffed dog and I said to my wife , we have to ask about it. The lady at the shelter mention that it was a Melissa and Doug, which meant nothing to me, but my wife knew all about the quality of Melissa and Doug products. So I had to find one and found it , where else but Amazon. It came packaged well and is a great addition to all of our other Black Lab items. It’s so life like that we have it on the floor looking over the dog bed and our 8 week old rescue as if it’s his mother watching over him. Well made.

I'm sure this will work better for someone else training wise but my dog lost her mind when she saw it (something we're trying to train her not to do). Eventually she figured out it was fake even with some recordings of barking. I've hidden it from her and will reintroduce again. It does a very good job as a dog analog but your dog may figure it out pretty quickly. Also, it's pretty big.... like surprisingly big and looks a lot better than the goofy pictures.
