I've owned these types of mats with each of my children and this one is by far the worse one I've ever got and it's not even the cheapest in price. I'm kicking myself for not picking up one of the good quality mats from Target when they were on sale for $16 this past Christmas.Here's what I've come to expect from these mats and how this one delivered:1. A strong, rubber backing that keeps the rug flat and safe from slipping - No. This mat has a cheap flimsy rubber backing causing the mat to constantly ripple and wrinkle resulting in a tripping hazard. Luckily, we have it on carpet because it doesn't hold flat on hard floors either.2. Soft enough that our dog wants to lay on it - No. Our dog won't even roll on it. And let's be honest, dogs are the best judges of quality.3. Washable/the ability to toss the whole thing in the washer if needed without worry - Eh, maybe. This mat is small enough to fit in the wash machine with ease but the material definitely feels like it will fall apart after 3 or 4 wash cycles. Spot cleaning has been effective though.4. A Size worth playing with - This is definitely the smallest roadway play rug that we've ever owned. I took for granted that it would be similar in size to the others and didn't pay attention to the measurements, which is my fault. It's about the length of half of a regular twin mattress which may be perfect for smaller rooms.5. Value (Quality + Price) - At the same price point as the other rugs I've bought but with all the quality issues I mentioned, I don't feel like this mat is a good quality.

I read the other reviews and saw people were complaining about the rug having dents. These go away just lay it flat, let your child play on it and in about a week it'll be flat. People on here are so quick to judge. What do you expect from a rug arriving in a box?! My son LOVES this rug (hes 3) and has soo much fun playing with his cars/trucks on it, there's a store, hospital, school...its adorable! They even have parking spots

My son is 22 months old and loves cars. I compared this to A LOT of other rugs on Amazon and this is a great and inexpensive rug for him to play on. Unlike others it really is rug material and not plastic. I have not had to clean it yet, but based off the texture , I imagine it won't be hard to do. It is very large and he can play on it and still have room to move his cars around. Also, this rug doesn't have pictures of the same buildings like I noticed some of the others do.

Great rug nice size has everything a lil city needs except one thing a fire station hahaha we are a fire family and I find this hilarious so we made our own spot to put one !!! The crease is seriously not a problem people are way to picky it's a great lil rug !!! For a decent price

This is my go-to gift for young kids. I purchase a box of tiny cars and trucks with the mat and children will play for hours- especially if they have someone else to play with. Parents love these because it’s a “quiet” toy, it’s easy to fold and easy to clean.If you are going to a place where there are no toys and nothing for little ones to play with, you can take this along with the kids and they’ll keep themselves busy for hours.
