I literally love this crock for keeping butter soft and fresh. It is a cute design and works exactly as described, you simply add a little cold water every morning, to the fill line. Place the butter into the well and it stays nice and fresh but soft and easily spread on toast. I even used some of the butter in a recipe or when I'm cooking. Nice, convenient solution that looks great on my countertop.

This container works just as described. It is so easy to use and was just what I've been looking for in this humid KY HOT weather. I would usually get the whipped butter and leave it on the counter, but it wouldn't take very long before it would start turning moldy. Also, tried the sticks and had the same issues. This is perfect. It is so easy just to switch out the water once a week and have perfectly soft butter at your disposal. I did go ahead and use Kerrygold salted Irish butter. Yes, it is more expensive, but I really don't use soft butter that much; but when I do, using this new container, I wanted to use a high quality butter. So far, no mold and the butter taste great and spreads effortlessly.

Love this butter bell! I hate trying to spread butter that has been in the fridge. I saw butter bells on Amazon and decided to try on. After looking at many different ones, I decided to order this one and am so glad that I did. It is stylish and looks great on my countertop. And it works perfectly! I am not sure we go through a stick of butter a week this way but I try to change it out every week or so to keep it fresh. So far, the butter is soft and fresh. Would purchase again.

This butter crock arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The quality is solid, and it seems like it would do the job well. Unfortunately, the “red” color leans way more orange than expected, so it didn’t match my kitchen and I ended up returning it.That said, if the color works for you, this seems like a great value. One note: I’ve seen some people mention mold issues with these, and I think I know why. The unglazed edge of the bell sits in the water, which might contribute to that. My old butter crock had a glazed edge, and I never had that problem. Too bad I lost it in the move!Still, this one is well designed overall—just be sure to keep an eye on the water and your color match!Like so many things—made in China.

Item was as described. It seems like it is sturdy for a ceramic item. I read the instructions on how to put butter in it and how often to change the water. It preforms as advertised. Nice to have for these hot summer days. Keeps butter cool but not cold and hard.

OMG this thing is SO neat! My husband and I switched from margarine to real butter and I ran across this on Amazon. I never knew you could buy stuff like this, and after looking at and reading about other butter crocks, I picked this one because I thought it looked adorable and I love the pretty red. It's very easy to use, keeps the butter fresh, and also easy to clean. 1 stick of butter fits into the crock and all you have to do is add a little bit of water to the bottom of the crock. I clean it with warm, soapy water between sticks of butter. Highly recommend this and it will look cute sitting on your counter!

If you want to have soft butter available, this is great. It does take a little bit of work as you have to leave butter to soften and then put it in. It holds a stick with some room to spare. Easy to clean. I wash the cup about once a week and put new water in it even if I don't have to refill the butter.
