Perfect resemblance of The Governor! READ BEFORE SWITCHING HEADS FOR SOLUTION!
This figure of The Governor looks exactly like David Morrissey, in my opinion! It captures his likeness as good as an action figure can.I read a lot of reviews before that complained about the head breaking off, leaving the peg inside the neck. There is a solution, at least it worked for me.Before attempting to remove the original head (without eye patch), turn on the water and leave it run until it gets as hot as possible (don't burn yourself, be careful!).Hold the figure's head and neck area under the hot water for a while, while checking to see if the plastic is getting somewhat softer. Within one or a few minutes, it should be possible to remove the head much easier. When the head comes off, quickly insert the other head (with the eye patch) into the neck. Run cold water over the head and neck area to cool and lock the head in.It would be great if McFarlane Toys would fix this issue, but in the meantime, this quick solution/fix should help.

Switching heads caution
I love this action figure, however when I was trying to switch off his standard head to the one with the eye patch the attachment inside broke off. The little black plastic thing inside the head broke into two pieces. I'm in the process of trying to remove the broken half from the neck so I can pop in the head with the eye patch. I think I just pulled to hard when trying to remove the original head. I do love the figure though. Great features.

great figure
This is a great figure of TWD television version of the governor, the figure comes with extra head with patch...small knife&bowie knife....& hand gun. also the figure has a holster on left and right side of belt, right side holster is for the smaller knife & left holster is for the gun (gun holster is reverse). the bowie knife fits well into the left hand but I'm having a little trouble fitting the gun into his right hand, as of now I'm just keeping the gun in the holster. I've also seen comments & videos of people saying they are having a hard time removing the head & placing the head with the eye patch, for my figure I'm just going to keep the normal head on as is, I'm pretty sure mcfarlane will make another series of the governor with the eye patch head already on so I'll just wait for that. but if anyone wants to remove their figures head it's up to you.

Love or Hate the Governor, this is a Great Action Figure!
If you love the Governor, aka Phillip, aka Brian, then you will love this action figure! He comes with a gun, a knife, and a sword. He has comes with a detachable head, so he can be pre-Michonne-knife-in-the-eye Governor or post Michonne trauma. ;-) Plus, the figure itself is detailed and looks remarkably like the Governor in the show. The key is when you want to switch his head--depending on your mood that day--you really have to put some force in twisting/ pulling the head off. It feels like you are going to snap the poor Governor's head/ neck, but just follow through. The Governor sits in my office, and I get lots of compliments and hate-filled diatribes on (Spoiler alert!) why the Governor deserved to die. Either way, it is a conversation starter and any business after expounding on why the Governor deserved more than the gruesome death he got seems trivial. :-) Win!This is a great action figure for Walking Dead fans.

The Governor.
Loved it!! I am a fan of DM. The Gov not so much. But I wanted the whole collection and you need the villain to make it complete. It is so real looking. I have recommended it to my friends.

nicely detailed. head will break though.
this is maybe the nicest looking walkind dead figure yet. I would definitely leave the head on though. my son broke the first one trying to get it out. I was luckily able to take out the socket with a tiny screwdriver. you better have strong hands. it does look better with the patch. kind of a joke that McFarlane would send it out with such a major flaw. I have to give it five stars for how nice it looks.

It's great, but so so so easy to break, and arrived somewhat damaged
I do love these toys, however they are made to break easily no doubt. I had no problems like some of the other reviewer's in removing the head and replacing it with the eye patch one. I did use pliers, and run it under hot water first...The toy itself looks great, and I'm always impressed with how much they truly look like the actors. However, The second I tried to move one of the arms, it literally snapped right off at the elbow. Needless to say I was frustrated. I really didn't want to do the return process so I spent 20 minutes or so working out how to re-attach the arm, luckily I was eventually successful. They are great toys but they do sometimes seem to arrive damaged from Amazon, and they are extremely easy to break even when barely touching them.
