Very little per gallon needed to make an amazing batch!!!
I am still testing this on my garden, but I do feel it is important to pass along that it might be best to simply use measuring spoons to make your mixture. I think my plants are responding well to this product, but just as the old adage conveys, "A little goes a long way". In all seriousness, follow the directions. Whatever volume of a blend you are trying to create, follow the path set out by the company, it is a very concentrated liquid that they send in this bottle.(Update from Aug 3, 2013: I DID burn my leaves because I DID NOT follow the directions as listed on the bottle. So just use whatever the prescription is from the manufacturer. The plants seemingly love this stuff now that I have corrected my amounts in dilution. I am still in the process of developing my eye for comparing plants that are on this product against those that are not on this product. Updated reviews to come in the future....stay tuned.)I have a Zep spray bottle that I use to spray my garden down. This liquid Kelp product is a very dark liquid and can easily stain clothes, fyi. All in all, I think I am going to have great and positive data in a few months. Just go easy with your mixture. If the measurement called for is a mere teaspoon, trust it. I made my first mixture by eye-balling how much I poured in the empty spray bottle. That was a mistake; my leaves wilted. It wasn't a broad and ubiquitous kill-off. But, I did pour out half of my 'too strong' mixture (preserved it in another container for a 2nd mixture) and diluted what remained with my distilled water. I am closer now to where I need to be with my mixture. If you are on the fence about buying this product, I would say consider going with buying a Quart because it is going to last you a very long time. I bought a gallon and I think at my current rate of usage, I'll have this product for well over a year in its concentrated form. A quart probably would've been the better way to go, but I know now despite it being after the fact.I think it is a wise investment, though. Looking forward to seeing fantastic results.

DID YOU LIKE HIGH SCHOOL CHEMESTRY? LOVE YOUR ENVIRONMENT- LIKE IT WHEN THINGS GROW? EXACTLY!!!!
A very interesting approach to ferterlization. I am not a big chemical kill the weeds guy. Yet, commercial ferterlizers don't bother me - especially those for step programs. But I am conscience of the environment and this natural approach was attractive - although previous attempts have not yielded substiantial success. Last year my landscaping was a disaster - mostly due to drough conditions. This year I decided to try to reseed my lawn with a drought resistent grass and came upon the Kelp - which fit in with my plan to apply ferterlized through a liquid/spray appropach. I have to say that so far this seems to be yielding results. Grass is growing well, requires less watering, but its early in spring - its dense green and the plants seem to be thriving. An unanticipated side benefit is that squirels and rabbits don't seem to like the ferterlizer as there has been a 95% reduction in grazing critters. I am going to order my second bottle - applying it through a watering dispersal rate of 1 oz per gallon- and using it every two weeks (so, just twice so far). I highly recommend it and am hoping for continued success thru the summer - If not, I will report back - but for now BUY IT, TRY IT - better than any alternative and seems safe if you value your environment.

Liquid Kelp Organic Seaweed Extract 1 Gallon Fertilizer Concentrate
I received this Liquid Kelp organic seaweed extract fertilizer concentrate recently, I am happy with the performance of this product so far, have only used one application to all my potted plants, my flowers were all bright and perky looking and got some nice compliments on how pretty and bright they were from passerby's and family members, however I did notice that my flowers did not last as long as they did when they did not have any fertilizer of any kind, I am not sure if this is the result of a sudden heat wave we are having in spring this year after having a very cold winter, I shall update this review later if things change. This part of the review is concerning the opening of the gallon bottle, they have this inner seal, that I am unhappy with and wish that it was not included, although I know it was to protect from any product leakage during transit to my home, the problem was while struggling to open and remove this inner plastic seal, it did not provide a tab or something easy to grip on to and make it easy to pull out of opening in the neck of the bottle, when it did finally come loose from its grip in the top of the bottle, I believe it created a small vacuum and pulled the liquid to the surface and out the bottle and all over the surface and me, what a mess I had to clean up, this was not due to how I pulled out the seal, I do believe it was created by this little cup shaped seal that caused this problem, other companies seal their bottles with a tin foil or plastic seal like film, this company used a plastic cup shaped material for its seal, and although it did not create a foul smelling scent after it splashed on me and the surface I placed it on, it did stain very badly where you need to wear very old clothes while opening this product. They did seal this bottle with extra sealing however while it was in transit to my home that I was thankful for.I would of liked to give this product a five star rating but had to give it a four star rating because of this incident while opening the bottle. I am anxious to try it on other plants but have not had a chance due to very windy and hot days recently. I did notice that one green plant is thriving on this fertilizer, my plant looks greener, thicker and is spreading out more, very happy about that, but the jury is still out on my flowers. The scent that this product creates is not bad but not something you look forward to smelling either when you use an application of it the first time, once it is water in well there is no scent or a very light scent lingering in the soil if you are close enough to smell it that is and it does lure the flies a little this is natural for a fish fertilizer of course, but they do go away once the fertilizer loses more of its scent. I did notice it keeps the birds away from that area where the flowers and plants are planted, that's a plus side for me. And you have to be careful of using this fertilizer in planters that sit on concrete as it stains.Using this fertilizer is not really all that easy to use, the bottle is heavy on first use and you have to be careful not to spill this while pouring it in your garden sprayer or watering container due to heavy staining of container being used or spilling on concrete or other materials.Value of product, jury is still out on this product until a later date when I reedit this review.

Good fertilizer mixture
Great product for a great price. My plants were looking yellowed and growing sluggishly. They have been looking better since I started spraying the leaves with the mixture.
