Royal Albert Bone China Polka Rose Sandwich Tray, 11.5", Green

My mom was an antique dealer, and as a child I collected teacups and their matching saucers. I had quite a collection, and I loved the variety of patterns and shapes!When I chanced to see this adorable teacup and saucer by Royal Albert in the Polka Rose pattern, I fell in love with its mix of perky French country kitchen mixed with traditional English mini-roses. I bought it for myself for my birthday, just for fun. And I enjoy how this set looks every time I make and drink a cup of tea in it!Such a fun pattern!

I had to write this review about the exceptional quality and style of this product after reading another buyers comment:"I don't know for sure where most of these are made nowadays because there is no manufacture country origin stamp on the bottoms where the other crucial information is given. Mostly, I use these for display. Though, I hold out hope that someday, perhaps soon, Royal Albert fine English china beauties will be made in England once more (or in another `food safe for sure' country - like here in the USA). Then I will feel free to actually use them with a certainty of their food safety."China was invented in China which is why it is called China (yes, I know an Englishman improved it and created bone china). It is unfair that we Americans let the media's focus and attention on bad quality Chinese products cloud our judgement on the overall quality and value of goods we enjoy. Our country and European countries, such as England, greatly profit off of China selling goods manufactured there. American and European consumers take advantage of the significant cost savings everyday that we would not otherwise have if it were not for China. This greatly improves our quality of life and the finer things we have in life overall (such as this beautiful bone china). This bone china is exceptional quality and it is unfounded to say that using it could or would compromise food safety. This product probably is manufactured in China as almost everything is now to be competitive in the marketplace. If this is the case thank you England AND China for making such an fine product.

The Royal Albert Polka Rose Vintage collection is so gorgeous I keep gasping whenever I see it. I know I sound like a drama queen, but it is stunning, delicate, beautifully colored, and functional. I purchased the sandwich tray to add to the rest of the collection I got for my daughter and she keeps the tea set, cups and saucers, and sandwich tray in full view on her hutch---so yes, I gasp when I see all of it. She does too. She has used the tray for tiny sandwiches, but for other things as well!!! Use your imagination: cookies, crackers, etc. I want to let people know that the Polka Rose is a beautiful, soft mint green color, so don't be misled. You can pick up a Royal Albert Polka Rose BLUE, but if it doesn't say blue, it is probably this mint green, so be careful if you don't like the mint green. I first saw this sandwich tray and other pieces on sale in a Macy's home store, but the sale was over when I decided to return to make a purchase. Dear, wonderful Amazon had it for the sale price that Macy's was briefly offering, so I bought many pieces through two Amazon sellers. I'm quite sure this collection has been discontinued now (meaning,Royal Albert is not adding to this collection), but you can still get pieces on Amazon and probably other sites---probably even Macy's----and this is one of those purchases that just...make....you....gasp! Well, it makes me gasp.

Trying to drink less coffee so bought this super cute excellent quality set as motivation. I have missed handled a couple of times and was surprised it took the beating and did not chip or break …so quality is there too. Cleans quick. Love ❤️

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas as she has recently started drinking tea. It is a beautiful teapot and a lovely large breakfast cup. I liked the design because it was traditional, but the polka dots give it a modern twist, and everyone knows that tea tastes much better from a china cup - I've done a blind test and it really is true!My daughter loves it, especially when I showed her how the teapot and cup stack. The packaging is beautiful and it makes a lovely gift.The only negative thing I have to say is that I had not seen the set and from the picture I thought I was buying something blue - my daughters favorite color. In fact it's a very pleasant greenish color. When I saw the set I thought I would send it back and get the blue design which I think is called polka blue, but there wasn't time before Christmas and I'm glad I didn't as she loves it anyway. I looked on amazon and couldn't find this particular set in the blue design anyway.

The pot holds enough tea for two cups from the very generous cup. Most tea cups are too small for me but this cup is very large.The whole tea for one is darling and I use mine every day. They’re collectible, as this line is discontinued. Grab ‘em while you can!

The China is beautiful but I couldn’t get into the box without cutting it. It’s like it was glued shut. Makes you wonder if this is old and not new.

This tea kettle with cream and sugar set is so beautiful. It is perfectly made and sits flat on the table along with all the other china pieces I bought from the Royal Albert "Miranda Kerr" and "new country roses" product lines. I really enjoy the high quality!!
