Worked Well For Us. Pulled In A Large Number Of HD Channels
Nice antenna. We got rid of cable TV years ago and opted for streaming services. Downside was we always lacked the ability to receive the local, over the air stations in our area. Solution - a digital antenna. This one solved our problem nicely. After I connected it to our TV it helped pull in well over 70 digital broadcast channels. When I moved it to our attic, the antenna pulled in even more stations. To be fair, I live in a major metropolitan area, so there are lots of TV stations within 100 miles of me broadcasting multiple HD channels. So if you’re in a more rural area, you may only get your local, digital stations. But still, an antenna is worth it if you’re a cord cutter and want the local stations. This antenna does the job nicely.Assembly was not difficult. It came in few pieces and I was able to figure out how to put it together from just looking at the picture. Can’t speak to its outside durability as I installed ours in the attic. But it looks like it’s made well and would survive being outside. I’d read other reviews from people who mounted their’s outside to get a better idea.Overall, a decent antenna. Especially if you can pick it up on sale. Would recommend.

I'm Impressed with This OTA Antenna
OTA = Over The Air...verses cable, satellite, streaming, etc.I was recently a tech with a very popular satellite TV company. We also installed OTA antennas and often had to struggle to get OTA channels to come in well when the location is 50+ miles away from big city TV broadcast towers. This antenna seems to be a very good one... putting it together might be a bit confusing for some, but so far it seems worth the trouble. Now this product does NOT have a built-in amplifier (but that's one of the reasons I like it). Sure, a built-in amp might draw in a few more channels (or make some a little more clear) but it also means it will need to plug-in to electric power somewhere.I am 45 miles away from several TV towers and this manufacturer recommends trying the antenna indoors before installing it outdoors (which is always smart). I picked up over 40 channels indoors and the picture was perfect on most of them. I haven't installed it outdoors yet and that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars for ease of installation... but I will update this post once I do have it installed. I expect over 100 channels but it's really not about HOW MANY channels you pick-up, it's HOW MANY CHANNELS YOU WANT that you pick up. I happen to know that living outside of Houston TX there are only about 20-30 local stations that I actually want... many of the others are foreign channels or shopping networks that I would never watch.Even the best OTA TV antenna can't help signals much if you are 200+ miles from no where. But so far I am pretty happy with this product. I bought the full-install package that came with the mounting pole, brackets, and 40 feet of cable. I was pleasantly surprised they even included things like "pitch-patch' which are little tar squares to be placed between the roof and the mounting plate screws before it is tightened down. There are even mounting clips (and a few zip ties) to help with running the cable from the antenna to the splitter (which is also included with the mounting kit). The only thing that could make this better is a having a few more specifics on antenna assembly, so you KNOW exactly which antenna sections connect to the others and which end faces which. Also, there were no instructions for the mount kit but other than a wide variety of screws the kit looks fairly simple.* UPDATE* Nearly 5 months later and I am still happy with this OTA Antenna. Nearly every channel is crystal clear high definition. I have had zero problems except for a few occasions, when storms seem to have affected the reception of one or two distant TV stations, but those are far and few between. I'm sure you can buy bigger, better, more expensive antennas... but I still recommend this antenna and am quite happy with it.

To say I am happy is an understatement.
I was using a small, flat antenna and got a handful of channels - sometimes. Lots of dropped signals. I watched some YouTube videos from the Antenna Man and learned what to look for in an antenna and how web pages would tell me how many channels I might expect. This antenna is the one I chose. All I can say is WOW. My reception is now 55 digital channels, far more than what the web pages said I could expect. The picture is solid. No drop outs. The antenna itself seems strong enough to handle a pretty strong wind, but if you're putting it in a windy spot I suggest adding some reinforcement.Assembly was rewarding and almost fun. All the parts went together the way it seemed like they should. Very intuitive and the directions are good.
