I never thought that getting a tasty meal like this could be this easy and so much fun! I'm buying more of them 👍 update: I have been purchasing the tomato flavor and it tastes awesome if you add most of the packet of chili peppers! also a good trick is to add hot water (if you have it handy) for the meal (not with the heating pad) , use cold water preferably for the heating pad (about 2 inches of water only) Also put the bamboo shoots (the stiff beige sticks in the seal transparent packet) at the very bottom so that they cook completely you won't regret it if you do it right! also I do the same thing as an other reviewer I let it sit for 12-15 minutes after it begins bubbling instead of the 8 minutes then everything is cooked perfectly! the tomato flavor is the least spicy but taste awesome with lots of chili peppers ;-) 👍 these make great meals ! I bought the 3 pack cause i thought this would be a fun little experiment with me and my kids - the reaction of the water, it heating the food, and then we get our reward! The food!And yes, they had fun doing this.That said, i really debate between a 3 and 4 star. We got the heat one, which was the only one available at the time, and... As others have said, it's very bland.Now, THAT said, it's very easy to make it not bland: it's so oily that almost anything you put in it will diffuse very well. I added a small amount of sweet soy sauce, dried/ground garlic, and a lil bit of fish sauce. I could have absolutely added more than just this: but this, in itself, turned a bland meal into something pretty tasty. And, it came with a bunch of veg, and you could EASILY add any fresh veg, as well. So, ultimately, i decided to go with a 4 bc of this fact, that the only drawback i had was the flavor, which was easily corrected.Finally: there is a lot of waste in a kit like this. I could not recommend this as a daily, or even monthly, item if you have access to power outlets. But, for camping? For a one time thing with your children? A few times a year for lunch at work? Sure, yeah.

Spicy but not a kind of spice that stops you from eating. The line for the water levels are not noticeable so be careful when adding to the heating pack so when you put the soup pot on top water dont spill out. Extremely delicious and worth every bit of the experience.

This is a cool idea but to me it just isn’t good. The flavor is just strange as well as the contents. The heating element and everything worked as it should and came just as pictured.

Saw these on a youtube video, so of course I had to try them. I love the little kit, and it's easy to prepare. It would be fun for a kids sleepover party. Now, I did NOT like the noodles that came with it. Texture is a big deal for me, and the texture of these was very off putting. But the taste of everything was good. The broth is SPICY. I liked it, though. The veggies are good too. I would definitely buy more, maybe a different flavor, or especially if it came with different noodles. Kind of expensive, but I consider it a novelty item for where I live, in Mississippi, USA. If the price was better I'd buy more often and put in my long-term prep supplies for the convenience.

These are great first for the reviews that say there is no fill line for the red cup it's the dots in the corners one cup works perfectly then fill the white cup to the fill line gets super hot as for the taste it's a sour tomato soup close to Tom yum very mild spice level and you don't have to actually add the spice it's separate the vegetables are crunchy and the noodles have a chewy texture I was overall yummy and good size also fun to make comes with chopsticks as well nice little kit on the go to eat anywhere just remeber the plastic will get hot when cooking but won't melt .

Phenomenal idea, brilliantly executed, poor texture and flavor. I got the original and tomato from the same company and they’re both oddly sour? I was expecting tomato and not weird sour hotpot with 0 flavor of tomato. The texture of the noodles that come with it are wayyyyy too chewy and if you use ramen to substitute it the pot steams them basically making them a weird flavor and texture. I wish all food companies would have something like this especially for those struggling with electricity or homelessness but the flavor and textures just aren’t there.

The ease of these are amazing as a disabled person who struggles to stand long enough to prep and cook a meal. All three are extremely tasty and filling. There isn't a fill line on the red box, but 1 cup of cold water will be more than enough. I normally let it sit for 10-15 minutes after it begins bubbling instead of the 8, and find everything cooks through better.Golden Soup: Savory and slightly spicy. This is my personal favorite.Tomato: Strong tomato flavor while still being light and not spicy at all. Almost healing, if that makes sense.Spicy: Personally, too spicy, but the flavor is really nice and makes you want to hurt yourself for another bite. Kinda oily.Only the sauce changes. I've added sliced meat into them before and been quite pleased with the results. I bet you could add other stuff, just make sure the lid can be closed safely.
