This is the cutest little dog toy, but it did not handle my shitzu’s chewing. That is my fault though, I didn’t read the for “mild to moderate chewers” part. It lasted 3 hours with him!! Lol

I bought this back in October for a recently adopted puppy. She’d been given a lot of toys so I put this one away for when she was a bit older. Fast forward to a couple of days ago. The puppy is now 7 months and 16 lbs. Turns out she is a doodle of some sort with a tiny poodle head and mouth, and the most perfect tiny teeth. My tiny pup managed to chew the cloth ‘head’ covering of this toy off in two days flat. I think I’ve picked up the remnants but I can’t be 100% sure I got them all. My pup has long facial hair that covered the ‘head’ of the toy & the fins looked perfectly fine, so I couldn’t tell how badly this Kong toy was (not) holding up to moderate chewing. And since Kong has a maximum 60 days with a receipt return policy, I’m SOL. I’m especially irked because this is the second cloth-coveted Kong toy my tiny pooch has managed to destroy in 2 days of light to moderate chewing. I purchased this for a tiny dog. It was a real hit with her. She loves to chew on the tags and the fins/strips. It will last her for many years I think.
