I was very excited to try this soap. It's not heavily perfumed or scented like a lot of soaps, which I liked, and I was hopeful it would help with some of the hyperpigmentation issues I have had. Unfortunately I guess my skin was more sensitive than anticipated, as after only two uses, I noticed patches of red rash on my neck (where I was primarily using the soap), and I had to stop using immediately. It had a nice lather and left a nice clean feeling when using, but if you are prone to skin problems, you may want to avoid.I did like everything else about it so I did not want to rate low stars. It may work better for many other people. I may try a different kind, because the brand is quite quality.

I’ve been using this oil for almost 2 months and it’s become a STAPLE in skin care routine, I have extremely sensitive skin and I struggle with hyperpigmentation, as a result turmeric based skin products are best for me. I apply every night and my dark spots have definitely lightened. Thank you, Thank you Thank you!

I had a lot of faith in it but it didn’t work on me as much as I liked. I’ve used it for 2 months so far. I do feel like it has help a bit but not much. I’m just simply not one of the lucky ones

Read the reviews because I'm SO SCARED to put things on my face. Currently, I'm in a stressful situation, so my face on both sides of my face (chin area) broke out in deep painful pimples or something. They cleared up on my left side, kinda quick, initially. Then the right side had an outbreak, but deeper and PAINFUL cyst-like acne. It was taking FOREVER to heal. I used an antiseptic to take the pain away. Then I started reading the reviews for this soap. THIS SOAP! WOW! The few dark spots left on the left side, gon in a few days after starting this soap. The right side is clearing, EVERYDAY! My face is beautifully clear, everywhere else and even toned from this soap. I haven't begun to use this bar up. I can tell this bar of soap will last a while. It's pretty big and it lathers, nice and quick. There's no scent, too me. Also, I leave it on while I'm washing my cotton cloth out, only. I'm using it only on my face with the cotton cloth. People let me just say this, if it burns, it's left on too long. Be careful because anything can mess you up if not used properly. I'll be buying this from now on. I love this soap! I rarely write reviews but after what I experienced with this soap, I wanted to send out a warning. I decided to give this soap a try after reading all the positive reviews. I also liked the ingredients listed as I am very particular about that. I have some minor hyperpigmentation around my cheek and chin that I have been trying to get rid of for years.As I always do, I read the negative reviews as well to get a sense of what went wrong for other people while using the product. I read how some people experienced skin darkening and found that to be odd since turmeric is supposed to do the opposite. However, I proceeded with trying it anyway. At first, things were going really well. Although I did not see a brightening effect, my face was glowing and soft.About two and a half weeks later after regular twice a day (morning and night) daily use, I started developing strange black marks around the corners of my mouth. Given that I used another product at the time that in my experience has had a slight burning sensation sporadically, I attributed it to that and perceived them to be burns from that product. Although, I found it strange because I never experienced said effects to that intensity before.I continued with my twice a day daily use of the soap. As of yesterday (4/29), about a week and a half after seeing the first marks, I started developing another patch on my chin. I then realized that it was the soap causing this peculiar reaction since it is the only new product that I have recently implemented in my skincare regimen. I stopped using the soap immediately and I am now trying to repair the damage it has done. Thankfully, Amazon allowed me to return what I had left despite the return window for my purchase closing. The customer service representative that I corresponded with was very compassionate and understanding of my situation.Given all the positive reviews, it is clear that this product seemingly works for most people, so I am wary and find it unfair to imply that the manufacturer is misleading about this item. It appears that it just does not compliment certain people’s skin for whatever reason. All that to say, buy at your own risk as it is impossible to know until you try it, which subset you fall under.
