The perfect book to quickly learn something new. My 4 year old loves flipping the book open to any random page and asking WHY. The pictures are bright and colorful which adds to the fun! Great book to have laying around.

The best thing about these books is how they spark my child’s interest in the natural sciences. He absolutely loves them—he often flips through the pages and then asks me, in a serious tone, 'Do you know why...?' At that moment, I know I made the right choice—this investment is truly worth it! What I’m hoping for now is to see them released as a complete set covering chemistry, physics, geography, and astronomy, instead of having to buy them one by one like we do now.

Paper material is of very good quality so that when a child turns the page rapidly they do not tear off.The book is made for a child in real sense. An newer to a why question can be given in two ways 1) theoretically 2) practically -This book adopts the way of giving practical answers in a very simple manner without losing any important theoretical fact. I really miss this book as my childhood book of knowledge. This book gives all the answers in such a nice and simple way that it has become my 3 year old daughter's most favorite friend and guide.Each why question and its answers is described with beautiful colorful pictures so that knowledge becomes accurate and practical in real sense.Not only the answers are given, in some sections there are also some exercises where a child can apply his knowledge which he.she has gained from the previous topics.My daughter and we really love National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Why and after finishing this one we will be interested in buying other books of National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book .

Daughter enjoys this book and looks forward to reading from it every night.

Came a little dirty on cover — but the book is great! My kiddos love to ask the “why” question so now this book can feed some of that curiosity. The pictures are bold. The text is not too intense for my 6 yr old.

Literally the perfect book for any curious child! Phenomenal photos and vibrant colors. The explanations are great; in detail, but doesn’t go over my five year olds head.PERFECT Christmas or birthday gift as an add on!!
