Great for Tough Corks
I had an extremely tight cork, and this was the only wine opener that could uncork the bottle. Very happy with this purchase. Well made and gets the job done.

A very clean look, nicely packaged and presented and very effective wine bottle opener
I have come to appreciate this style of cork remover for old, damaged, and very tight corks, especially where a traditional corkscrew has damaged or broken the cork. This is about the only method of effectively removing the cork in those situations. But this method also preserves an undamaged cork and allows easy re-corking of the bottle, great for keeping the wine for another day. Among those I have used, the DeVine opener is a joy to use, solid, well made, clean, attractive, catches the eye of guests, and appears to be stainless steel for long life. It is just what I was looking for and I can highly recommend it. I bought two! It doubles as a bottle opener, so whatever you and the guests drink, you are set.

Best wine cork remover for old wine bottles, e.g. from 60's or 70;s, etc.
You MUST KNOW how to use the AH-SO wine puller. sellers of this item must give EXPLICTE instructions on how to use it. 1. insert the longer prong between the cork and inside edge of the bottle & push it down about 1/4 inch. 2. Insert the shorter prong between the cork and the opposite side of the bottle & push it in about 1/4 inch. 3. Only push in one prong at a time. If you push both prongs at once, the cork will pushed into he bottle. Push in the longer prong first, about 1/4 inch , stop then push the shorter prong, alternate sides until all the way in. If the cork starts to go in, stop. slowly twist the handle and pull up, until plush with the top. Alternately push in the prongs until it goes all the way in. Then reposition your hand to twist the handle and pull up. Twist and pull until the cork is out.I last used this ah-so corker to open a bottle of 1974 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Worked on old cork.
Used this device with a wine bottle air pump. After a few minutes of pumping, this device slid around the cork with little effort and while both turning and pulling the cork came out. It was a bottle of homemade wine that had been upright for over a decade.

Nice product at good price.
Nice product at good price. A little more difficult to use than a regular corkscrew but worth the effort for a good bottle of wine with a dry cork. Be sure the handle is all the way down to the cork for best results.

Don’t waste ur money!
Piece of garbage! I opened maybe 7 to 10 bottles of wine with this junk. The tongs bent and the oso became unusable. U could use a hammer and screwdriver and get more uses

Great
The wine opener was what I expected & packaged in a metal storage/transportTion case. Very impress with the product. I have not yet had an opportunity to test it on an older bottle.

Right Tool for the Job!!!
This is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for anyone with older wines (like 20 years or more)! I was breaking corks on all my old wines and ended up eating cork pieces in some pretty great wines. Now with this "waiter's friend" I can easily pull the old cork out without any damage or cork pieces falling into the wine. I wish I knew about this tool sooner!
