do you pack the HMF Forte in ice packs?

We send one complimentary ice pack with the HMF Forte. On our website however, we do have the option of adding more ice packs if you'd like.

I have read reviews stating the bottle of pills was not cold when mailed to them. Do the cultures die off making the pill unusable?

When shipped cold, sometimes this product worked. Other times it didn’t. I assumed that something happened during shipment or manufacturing. I gave up on it, since it was expensive and only worked sometimes.

What is fos? why is it added? is a probiotic better with or without?

Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) is types of fructo-polysaccharides. Since FOS is indigestible by our bodies, it gets transported to the large intestine where it feeds microbes and promotes fermentation. FOS has been dubbed a "prebiotic", essentially serving asfertilizer for the bacteria in your colon. Certain lactobacillus species of bacteria have been shown to preferentially ferment FOS. For this reason, it is being promoted as a supplement to feed the good bacteria in our guts.

is this stored in refrigeration?

I bought this type of probiotics a couple of years ago for a trip, so it wasn't refrigerated during my travels. I took one a day, and it seemed to be sufficient. If you need more, you can always take another.
