It works perfectly
Update! STILL LOVE IT. I don't care what others say. Purchase price is small but monthly I pay about $40 a month but the tracking is extremely accurate I tested it multiple times. It showed my exact location. I bought a one month to test it out but next month I'll sign a yearly one. Customer service is top notch if you have any Q's.Couldn't more highly recommend. You won't regret it once it's set up (which was a little confusing at the start but now it's just charge and place and repeat). It's a extra phone bill by $50 a month let's say but the GPS on that is FIRE! Highly recommend

Awesome unit! See (my) Pros and Cons here.
UPDATE: Finally canceled the service because I no longer need it and canceling was pretty easy. I chatted support, said, "hey I wanna cancel" and they pointed me straight to the page to cancel (which now that I see it, I could have found it on my own if I just looked for it). Filled it out and bam, was canceled right away. I saw somebody complaining on here that it wasn't easy to cancel... was pretty easy for me :| Took like 2 minutes. They said I can reactivate it whenever AND it apparently has a LIFETIME warranty... that's pretty amazing. I never see lifetime warranties in products these days. If I ever need to track something again, I'll re-activate this! Worked really well when I was using it!I like it so far but one thing they don't mention on here is the prices for other service options: $25 for 1 minute updates (only updates map every 1 minute) up to $45 for about 5 second updates. I'm using this in case my electric bicycle (a very powerful and expensive one) gets stolen (I hid this unit INSIDE the bike's battery packaging [so it looks like part of the battery] and have it charging via the battery so it will basically last forever) and so far, it works perfectly. I set up a test with my girlfriend where she took the bike and I had to find her just using the GPS. Caught her at a store about 15 minutes after she said "come find me." So I'm very pleased with it so far! I did have to search around in the area for a little bit because sometimes it's not super accurate even outside but still, found her in 15 minutes... pretty good! They don't really advertise it as that kind of tracker but... works well.Pros:- Works pretty much right out of the box, YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO BUY A SIM CARD, it comes with one - my favorite thing about this unit. All you have to do is register your device, setup your payment and then wait a few hours for everything to activate and start using.- Seems to be fairly accurate AS LONG as it's outdoors and moving. Once you go inside any place, as with most GPS units, it pings you all over the place within about 1,000-2,000 ft. Sometimes further. So if your using it for an electric bike like I am, you might want to take note of that. Still gives you an idea of where it is though.- No contract so you can cancel your plan and start it back up if your bike or car gets stolen. This is a pretty huge plus for me. I will have it deactivated until- Long-lasting battery. Not attached to my e-bike battery, it seems to get about a week of life per charge (like from 100% to absolute 0). Connect it to a portable USB charger and you can probably get 2 or 3 weeks out of it. Or do like me and connect it to your car or bike battery and have it last forever without recharging :D- It's small! Love the size, I actually thought it would be a little better. Included a picture of me holding it.Cons:- The service plan... and well, the unit itself, is kind of.. expensive compared to others or a pre-paid SIM card option. Then again, works right out of box.- Not always accurate, even when outside. But it works well enough.Overall: It's a nice little unit. Not the cheapest, but works right out of the box - key feature for me. Didn't have to deal with prepaid SIM card nonsense, carriers, etc.

Marketing vs Operations
The Good:1) It's small making it easy to conceal2) It's lightweight3) The rubber coating helps protect the deviceThe Bad:1) The device is preset to a 1 minute update with no instructions in the manual or online on how to change it or if it can be changed. I signed up for the 5 second updates and could only get 1 minute updates. I'm sure there is a way to change this but it shouldn't take repeated requests by e-mail waiting for their responses. This should be made clear at time of activation or before.2) the online only manual is basic and lacks details. Most of it just explains how to operate the basic online menu items. There is very little about the device.3) tech support is by e-mail only or if they call the customer. Their user support forum can only be found by calling for tech support and getting it from a recording. Their support forum is a ghost town with no help4) The device has a 30 second preset for showing or notifying there's movement. Tech support email said it could be changed but not how. Again, no help on their website or in their manual5) Tracking is viewed via their www site. Cell phones that can access the www will work but there is no cell phone version of the website. Plan on having to zoom in to log in and manipulate functions. It's unsafe for use with live mobile tracking.6) Their software plots paths using straight lines from one update to the next. With 1 minute updates it would be nice if this option could be turned off as the lines are unrelated to the path of the device. The Ugly:1) According to their tech e-mail, the "two week battery life" is calculated with a 1 minute update frequency and movement is restricted to 1 hour a day. Nowhere on Amazon, their website or in their manual do they indicate the battery life run time if movement is constant or if one subscribes to the higher priced updates of less than 1 minute.2) The 1 minute updates are every minute it reads the GPS coordinates and a minute later their online program updates to those coordinates. When the position is received it is where the device was 2 minutes ago.3) While most GPS devices are not always spot on with location this one it happens too often to be relied upon for accuracy.4) The website has an auto log-off feature that can't be turned off. It relies on user interaction with the website as opposed to the GPS updates. During mobile tracking this requires ongoing timely interaction with the website to keep it from logging us off.--------------------------------------------------------------Obviously different people have different uses for GPS tracking devices and the nature of the technology at this point can have its limitations. If you want a device that will give you the general where-a-bouts every couple minutes or a passive tracker that can be checked later, this device may meet your needs. What I need is a device with software suitable for live mobile tracking with a much longer battery life. Battery life is a challenge with all of these GPS trackers. But, knowing the limitations up front allows us to work with this issue. This company chose to market the battery life as something it isn't and getting the truth from them took more effort than it should have.Lastly, if this company spent as much time on operations as they did marketing they might have a product worth having and working around/with any deficiencies. How this became the #1 seller on Amazon is beyond me. Maybe I'm operating on the wrong frequency.++++++++++++++++++Follow up. Tech support responded about an hour after I posted this review and one on the company website. They apologized and offered a free device with extra battery life and free service until I was satisfied with their tracker and their service. They deserve credit for this response. I will not be taking Spytec up on the kind offer. There are simply too many issues with their product/service even if their tech support responded quickly. Most of these issues are fairly basic for a GPS and should have been addressed up front.
