I will never go back to anything else. I love this rope.!
I love this jump rope. I am not new to jumping, but I’ve always used much thinner ropes. Even the speed rope in this set is bigger than what I’ve used in the past. I thought that’s where it was at, but after using this rope I cannot go back to my think rope.I love that I can feel some weight in my hands. I’m not sure the physics behind this, but I am able to jump much more efficiently with this rope (less stopping/mistakes) and my heart rate is definitely more elevated. When I lift this rope, the weight makes me want to continue jumping. My arms get more of a workout too. This isn’t considered a weighted rope, I believe those at are t at 1/2 a pound, this one is barely 1/4 pound, so it’s really not heavy, but my body certainly feels the difference. I can’t wait to jump again once done. I even use it to get steps in and elevate my heart rate when my watch tells me it’s time to stand or if I just need a quick pick me up.Quality-wise, the rope itself is solid and doesn’t keep links or bends, which also helps it be more efficient. The handle fees very high quality and doesn’t slip out of my hands when sweaty due to the material. Cutting to the appropriate length and fastening it in the handle was simple and easy and they also come with extra clips, which was nice, just in case. I wonder if you could order just the fasteners from epitome fitness if necessary though. Or maybe it’s free, that would be a bonus. But maybe I’ll never even need extras. If you’re looking for a rope that gets you a real full-body workout and motivates you to keep going, this is it! Some reviewers mention the handles coming loose, meh. Just don’t drop the damn thing on the door all the time because the fasteners aren’t that tight. But if you tighten before jumping and place it down with care in between sets or circuits etc., they stay in place. A slight inconvenience if you’re in the zone and rushing and don’t have softer surfaces or mats to drop it quickly, but that wouldn’t make me return it. Sometimes we require way too much convenience, it’s really not that big of a deal, probably adds 1 second to your workout time each time, and hey… use that time to be more mindful of the kick-ass workout you’re doing while taking care of your body.

Durable and dummy-proof jump rope
Disclaimer: Beta Tester for this jump ropeI previously bought the "Sonic Boom Speed Rope M2" by this same company, which is a lighter and faster jump rope, with weighted handles. You can see in the comparison photo that the Ballistyx has a thicker handle and thicker, heavier rope. I use each for different purposes, and the Ballistyx is more like a traditional jump rope due to its heftier handles and rope. It's still a very lightweight setup. It's dummy-proof because it's easy to grip and use, and the solid rope seems like it's holding up well. I've stepped on and snagged the rope on things, and everything stays intact. The locking mechanism in the handles is very secure. One of the product photos is misleading - the cable that comes with Ballistyx seems like a solid rope of plastic; it's not a coated and braided wire like in the photo. The M2 has the coated wire. I haven't trimmed the rope, so I can't speak on that.Regarding the rotational feature - it's nice that the rope doesn't kink, tangle, or twist, since it rotates while in the handle. I like that the rope stays smooth. However, I prefer the locking mechanism of the M2, since it was easier to adjust the length of the rope during use without having to disassemble the handles. With the Ballistyx, you have to unscrew the handles and pull apart the clips to adjust the rope length. I like the option of adjusting the rope length instead of setting it and forgetting it, because some days I want a slightly longer or shorter rope. The Ballistyx came with extra clips. I don't know the lifespan of the clips and what it would take to wear them out, but it's nice to include the extra clips. All in all, for the price and the features, I recommend getting this rope.

Lightweight, Comfortable Jump Rope
I ordered the Ballistyx Jump Rope a few days back, and I ended up trying it as soon as it arrived. I saw that I had to put the rope together myself, and I usually get stressed out whenever I have to assemble products myself, but luckily, it was quite intuitive to assemble. I tried reading the instructions, and despite the large graphics, it ended up confusing me more so I chose to assemble it without the instructions. Took about 10 min. max.I was slightly worried about the adjustment of the ropes because I'm on the shorter side (5 ft), and at the end, I ended up having to cut the rope. I tried cutting the wire with the knife and scissors, but it ended up not being enough, so I needed a wire cutter. Because of this, I have to give a ding in the rating because I don't like having to need extra tools just to use a workout equipment.I have a weird tendency of keeping the boxes of all the stuff I buy, and one thing I love about this item is that the box is quite aesthetic, as well as the handle. The handle feels quite sturdy and durable, and is quite comfortable for gripping. I have smaller than average hand size, but this jump rope wasn't too difficult to grip. What I liked was that the turning of the rope is quite smooth and in conjunction with the comfortable handle, I didn't have much strain on my arms or wrist when jump roping. The jump rope comes with two different cables, one that allows for speed, and the other one for strength, which allows you to get a variety of workout. I think this'll be quite handy for when I go on vacation and need a variety of workouts.I might have to keep using it to see how durable it actually is, since other reviews have mentioned concerns on durability.I did find that after using it, the rope would tangle a bit. It's a slight nuisance, but given how comfortable it is using the jump rope, I can somewhat overlook this.
