Good quality camera, well worth the price.
So glad the prices of these thermal cameras are now fairly reasonable. This works perfectly on my android phone. The connector extends out to accommodate a phone case. It fits securely. The imaging works very well for what it is. Great for checking my home for areas of heat loss. I found a significant draft in one of our two year old windows. Good quality camera. Well worth the money.

Great for the money
Love this tool. Works as it should. Love that it can plug into my phone and works as a flir should. We got one at work that is commercial and for what this is seems very comparable.

Revised review: complexities
This review is for the FLIR One. Not the pro. 1st off: it is tiny. Slightly less than the width of my Samsung Galaxy. 2nd: I find that I want my fingers supporting it from the bottom. That is where the power button is. So I moved my fingers to the side. Also, it is real easy, far too easy to get your fingers in the way of the lens. So I feel very clumsy manhandling it around the house as I tested it. Note that many of you will have to use a magnifying glass to read the links in the teeny tiny booklet. You have to type the URLs into a computer in order to download the PDF users manual. I managed to bumble through and get the app working and interface with the camera. It works well enough to find a hot spot in our bathrooms' fan switches. The switches are not supposed to be hot, so ... this device just might have paid for itself right there - out of the box. It is packaged nice. Comes with a small zipper case. Sure, I would like to have sharper images. However, shelling out 4 grand or more for a thermal imagery device isn't exactly in the budget right now. However, even saying that, for the price - this is pretty good tech. If you are walking around barefoot while using this. You can see your foot prints. I have to say that this device also made me grumpy. Grumpy against the lazy contractors who left huge gaps in the insulation between the studs and headers in my house. Over all I am very happy with this purchase.Update to my review: At 1st I thought I would get an extension ... I now see that as a dumb idea. The cord didn't work, maybe due to odd pin out assignments. Even if it had worked, the alignment would have been way off. I used a dremel wheel to whittle off the minimum amount of plastic. And used sheet metal sheers to precisely cut the rubber on my Otter Box so the camera will fit into the usb-c socket. It worked! I have not experienced a parallax problem like other reviewers have said.Off the cuff comment: I find it humorous that the manual warns against letting this technology leave the country. It is only for the USA and Canada - so says the warning card packaged in, along with a tiny booklet written in 11 languages, including Russian.

A Game-Changer for Thermal Imaging
I recently purchased the FLIR ONE Gen 3 - iOS - Thermal Camera for Smart Phones, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! This little gadget has transformed my world into a colorful, thermal wonderland. At first, I was skeptical about the capabilities of a thermal camera for my phone, but this little gem has exceeded all of my expectations. The MSX Image Enhancement Technology is a game-changer, allowing me to see things in thermal imaging that I never thought possible. It's like my own personal superpower! One of the first things I did with my FLIR ONE was to take it on a ghost hunt with some friends. We were exploring an old abandoned building, and the FLIR ONE picked up all sorts of strange heat signatures. We found out that the ghost we were looking for was actually just a raccoon living in the attic, but it was still a fun experience nonetheless.I've also used the FLIR ONE to investigate some strange noises coming from my attic. I was convinced that there was some sort of monster living up there, but it turns out it was just a pesky squirrel. Thanks to the FLIR ONE, I was able to see exactly where it was hiding and evict it from my home. But the real fun with the FLIR ONE is just exploring the world around me. I've used it to see where my cat likes to sleep during the day (turns out it's on top of the fridge), to see which of my houseplants are getting the most sunlight, and to check the temperature of my coffee (because who doesn't want to know that?).Overall, I give the FLIR ONE Gen 3 - iOS - Thermal Camera for Smart Phones five out of five stars. It's a little pricey, but it's worth every penny for the endless entertainment and utility it provides. Plus, it makes me feel like a superhero, and who doesn't want that? Here's a comparison between the FLIR ONE Gen 3 for iOS and the SEEK Compact Pro Thermal Imaging Camera:FLIR ONE Gen 3 - iOS - Thermal Camera for Smart Phones:* Thermal sensor resolution: 80x60* Temperature range: -4°F to 248°F (-20°C to 120°C)* Field of view: 55° x 43°* Minimum focus distance: 0.5 meters* App compatible with iOS devices* Battery life: up to 1 hourSEEK Compact Pro Thermal Imaging Camera:* Thermal sensor resolution: 320x240* Temperature range: -40°F to 626°F (-40°C to 330°C)* Field of view: 32°* Minimum focus distance: 15 cm* App compatible with iOS and Android devices* Battery life: up to 4 hoursAs you can see, the SEEK Compact Pro has a much higher thermal sensor resolution than the FLIR ONE Gen 3, which means it can provide more detailed thermal images. It also has a wider temperature range and longer battery life. However, the FLIR ONE Gen 3 has a slightly larger field of view and a shorter minimum focus distance, which may be useful in certain applications. In terms of compatibility, both cameras have apps that are compatible with iOS devices, but the SEEK Compact Pro also has an app that is compatible with Android devices.Overall, the SEEK Compact Pro is a more advanced thermal imaging camera with higher resolution and better features, but it is also more expensive than the FLIR ONE Gen The choice between the two will depend on your specific needs and budget.

Not worth the money or time
Wasn’t very good. It would constantly need to re calibrate and even then would still be off. The battery would barely hold a charge and the IR camera was not very reliable/accurate. I returned this within a week of getting it since it was not worth the price. It is also ridiculous that it would take several hours for it to charge to full capacity, but it would die within about 30 minutes and in order to use it, you had to plug it into your phone, but it won’t use the power from your phone so what’s the use of plugging it into the phone?
