This light is amazing! The build quality is great, the light output is VERY BRIGHT, and you can power it from any 5v USB power bank or connection.

This light is really bright and great for emergencies. I ran it for 4.5 hours off a charger I use for my phone. It stayed bright the whole time. I decided to turn the light off at 4.5 hours as it was getting a little dimmer but was still on. I recommend this light.

I bought two of these as well as a usb splitter to plug into my solar battery while camping. It works well and the added switch to turn the light on/off without having to unplug it is also nice. One downside that can be noted is it did take a bit more power than I expected it to.

Bought 11/05/2022. Currently 5/23/2025Looks like i never clicked send on the old review. It was still here when I clicked to write one. It still hold true. We still use this light every camping trip. Roughly 5 weekend trip a year and two or three week long trips every camping season. We power it from a large battery pack when at primitive sites with no power. Use a wall plug in adapter at powered camp sites.We got this to use in our tent to get ready for bed at night when camping with the scout pack. Powered easily from our batter power station.It was bright enough to see good without being blinding.The Cord was long enough for our needs. Hung light in center or tent and the cord reached to the wall and down it so it wasn't in the wayI have no issue with item and so far has worked as expected.It works and I'll still get lot of uses out of it.Great for Camping,extra light when electricity might not be available (if you have a usb power source)durable, not worried about a glass bulb breakingdidn't get too hot to touch, no fear of melting a tent.fits easy in hurricane or disaster supply bag

No really! Just recently, I convinced my family to take part in a weekend "power outage" experiment.On the first night, by the time 11PM rolled around, my eyes were hurting and tired and the mood was already somber. It was then that I discovered a couple things. One: Power outages stink! Grid down would be depressing. Two: Emergency lighting (mine in particular) that is blue in color on the Kelvin spectrum fatigues the human eye. I feel that anything above 5500 Kelvin is just too blue to be relied upon as continuous lighting.Despite having the latest in lighting technology employing the more current COB LED, I find that this "camp" bulb's color temperature (which is a more traditional warm yellowish light) is just simply more visually appealing to the eyes than those LED's which emit a bluer light.Don't get me wrong, this will not replace my super bright COB lanterns and flashlights because they do have their place in emergency lighting. BUT for continuous ambient lighting, this bulb will be our family's "go to" for emergency lighting.Not only is this bulb's warm lighting more visually appealing than the sharp blueish color light from most all other lighting in the marketplace right now, but I find that even though it's not as "bright" as my other lights, I can actually see more with it. (My guess is that the warmer lighting doesn't strain and fatigue the eye as much.) In contrast, the exposed high intensity LED's from COB or other SMD LED's causes a large degree of glare and even in some cases, weird shadowing from the latter.I saw the 5-star rating for this light and I'd say that it's well deserved. For my family and I, it gives us the lighting that we're familiar with. I think it's safe to say that it's comparable to the traditional 40W incandescent light bulb. Try simulating for yourself a power outage for a weekend, heck, try it for one night! For the first stint, employ all your "blueish" LED lights. Then for the second stint, use this light and I'm confident the majority will have a preference for this light.

I got these for camping, but also for emergency lighting purposes around the house. I'm happy to see that this was an excellent investment! These are lightweight and you can move them wherever you are assuming you have a usb battery pack. I can see many uses for these.1. A reading light and emergency lighting for my bedroom. (Plenty adequate! I'd imagine reading would be comfortable with it.2. Lighting for a bathroom whose wiring went wonky (so lights don't work in there)... and verified that these things light it up almost as well as the overhead light. No more showers in the dark during early hours or late at night.3. Emergency lighting for the dining table. It lights that large room less well, but the illumination was better than my camping lantern.And that brings me to if I plan to camp this year... I can expect a cheerfully lit tent! It used a very small amount of energy while hooked up to my power station.Great buy altogether!

this thing is so awesome, a hook, a light, long wire, a switch. exactly what i need for a camp light because it doesnt have battery so i don't have to worry about it going bad.

I believe this is the 3rd one of these I have purchased. I use them for my craft projects, as in the picture I am making a leaf lamp from basswood. Needed something that would not get hot, has an inline on/off rocker switch, and USB powered! You can't beat the portability and functionality of this for the cost. Power it with a little USB battery pack, take It anywhere. Safer as well, no glass to break and a convenient hanging bracket! Great for use in a tent, or for crafts! 2 packs are a great buy. I'll be getting more!
