... needed a scientific calculator for math and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CALCULATOR
I needed a scientific calculator for math and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CALCULATOR! The price for this is also decent and affordable. What I love about his Scientific Calculator:- It has all the basic operators I needed such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. It also has other operators such as inverse and sin, cos, and tangent.- It is solar powered. This is great and probably what I love the most about the calculator because it is money saving since I do not have to go buy batteries. Even though batteries do not cost that much, every little bit of saving is always a plus for me.- It also came with a cover t hat slides over the calculator to protect all the keys, and the screen.- The clearing buttons are marked in red so you can not miss them, and will be able to find them easily. What I dislike about this calculator:- Nothing.

Good calculator for my MA22300 class
I ordered this calculator because I needed a single lined calculator for my MA22300 calculus class like wtf? Why a single lined calculator? -_-Anyways so here are my pros and cons:Pros:It's one lined perfect for my calculus classCheaper than the ones around my campus that suckIt's solar so I don't have to worry about changing the batteriesKeys are very responsive and nice to the touchIt's a very durable calculatorIt's also very lightweightIt has everything I need for my MA223 classI find the calculator to be pretty stylishCons:It's only 10 digits... that's about it?Overall I find it a very stylish calculator. I like how cheap it was and how many functions it has. I think I might be using this calculator until planet Earth enters the next generation of technology.

Casio Scientific Calculator... not like the model of a decade ago, but still good.
I purchased this calculator to replace an older Casio calculator of similar function that was a decade old. It carried me through numerous college classes and hours of home calculations... it never lost a beat and I was crushed to find out it was lost when my vehicle was broken into... I loved that calculator, I really did, but had to find a replacement so I returned to Casio to do that.Comparing what Casio now delivers to what it used to: this newer model is thicker, yet doesn't feel as "solid" as the old one did. This calculator is approximately the same size as the old one, except that it's thicker... felling a bit bulkier.. but lighter... and to me this translates to feeling a bit cheaper; this was the downside. On the upside, the buttons don't feel cheap... they feel like they have substance.. .not some plastic sheet, but individual in their crisp action, much like the older calculator.Solar works well... even in low light situations, this was a positive purchasing point for me. As for calculating in scientific notation or utilizing the calculator to complete formulas, well, other people have commented on certain things they were not able to do, but on an upside to this, it IS standardized testing approved.Listen... I'm no scientist, but I liked my old Casio... wish I could get it back, but for having lost mine this isn't a bad replacement. Given the cost of calculators nowadays... this isn't a bad deal for good little calculator and having used it I would purchase it again.

Simple and Elegant
I don't like using a graphing calculator, so this fit the bill perfectly, when I needed a second one.I only have two minor dislikes, but I couldn't mark it down from 5 stars, because I am just being prissy. I am used to an old TI that was made from a metal case. This one is made entirely from plastic and feels kinda....flimsy?...compared. Even compared to other all plastic calculators. And I miss the ability to do a simple z test.Other than that....this a simple to use calculator. I like how easy it is to switch between modes. And I like being able to tell the calculator how many significant figures to use when in SCI mode. The solar cells pick up light fast and under some very dim conditions. If you need a simple scientific calculator, look no further.

Great Features, Great Price
This is my 3rd purchase of this calculator.I carry one in my shirt pocket when out of the house and also keep one beside the chair in the den. This one will replace a higher-end Casio we keep in the kitchen, but which has many features we don't need and, oddly, doesn't use the same basic key layout and operation sequencing as this one. Too troublesome to switch back and forth.Have owned many hand held calculators since the early 1980's (when they were brutally expensive). For me, this model has the right mix of price, features, and intuitive operation. Easy for everyday plain use, straightforward memory features, and all the advanced functions most folks would want, including easy exponents/roots, statistics, and trig. Too bad cars didn't have a similar price/performance/cost curve as calculators and computers.

The case was a little hard to get off at first but I did manage to fix it. It works fine.
