Pump Motor Cover For Variable Speed Pool Pump Motor/Drive Cover

I ordered this product to protect my new $1,400 Pentair Intelliflo VS- VF pump from the torture of the SW Florida weather.I actually received the product 2days earlier than projected. I was very surprised at the sturdy materials that this cover is made of. It appears to be some sort of composite material very heavy with a bright white finish. Be aware that you might have to cut a channel for the pumps electrical conduit. This is easy to do if you measure correctly, I used a hack saw took about 10 minutes. Put over the pump fit perfectly. Cover fits flush on the concrete pad and butts up against the outlet plumbing that holds it in place. Be aware also when installing the cover that you spread the side a little to go over the 485 cable connection on the pump. There appears that there is plenty of ventilation for the pump. I have checked it several times and do not notice any overheating issues, I guess time will tell. As others have said you can screw it into the pad if you want but that seems to be stupid if you needed to remove for pump service. Overall I’m impressed with this cover so far. I do think the product is a bit over priced, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product. Please see attached pictures of my install.

I also purchased this cover to protect the substantial investment that I made in a Pentair Intelliflo swimming pool pump. The cover is well made of what appears to be PVC and fits nicely over the motor and control unit of the pump. No cutting or alteration is necessary. I did not attach the cover to my concrete base pad because the cover must be removed for access to the electronic controls. The cover does seem to be heavy enough that I believe it will stay in place unattached even in high winds.As stated above, the cover is made of what appears to be a very white PVC material. Because my pump system is somewhat visible I took time to paint the cover with a high grade exterior latex paint to make it less apparent. Now it blends in with the surroundings and is more appealing to the eye.I am very pleased with the cover and feel that it will do a nice job of protecting my investment from the elements.

This palm cover works well however if the little long for my palm. It needs to be notched out in order to have a snug tight fit. It does appear to be very strong and will more than likely stand up to Florida sun. A little pricey but well worth the protection for an expensive pump.

Works very well. The fit is good and is just like the picture shown, tho with the proximity of my filter, it takes a little wiggling to get it in place but with little effort. You may want to check your clearances too. Because I have less wind protection than neighbors, I get higher winds particularly during monsoon season and have had no problem with this cover; tho it is slightly wedged in against the filter. It gives good protection against downpours and the masses of dirt left from dust storms tho I bought it primarily for protection against the extreme Arizona sun which shines 300 days a year.

This is a no brainer...buy it to protect your pool pump. I thought about building my own but, for the time and effort, it's not worth it. This is made for the job and fits and works perfectly. It may seem a bit pricey but, it is purpose built and, once again, 100% worth it. I highly recommend it!

First off, it's definitely not worth $59.00. It's made out of a very soft, easily-gougeable plastic/craft foam material. I could pick this material up at a local craft store for next to nothing. It's glued together with 3 rivets. The only upside is that if you have to trim it, it's easily trimmed with a utility knife. It cuts right through like butter. Time and weather will tell if this thing makes it past 6 months. I highly doubt it.Secondly, this cover DOES NOT FIT A PENTAIR INTELLIFLO PUMP. I could see how it would fit a standard Whisperflo, but not the Intelliflo. It's way too tall for this cover. I got inventive and added feet to the cover using 4 1/4" x 6" bolts. That's the only way it will work.Save your money and make it yourself for 1/4 the cost.
