There is msg. The soup is not rich like that from a ramen noodle shop.

Q: Are these steamed, baked, or fried like most other ramen? Looking for healthier options.

I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. This ramen, like any other that I am aware of, recommends you boil the ingredients and serve as soup.

Q: Beside cooking on the stove, can I cook the noodles in the microwave or pour boiling water into a bowl with the noodles in?

You sure can. The noodle type is very similar to most instant ramen. I have found that by starting with boiling/hot water before putting the noodles in the microwave makes the texture pretty close to when you just cook them stove top.
