Reviewed 12 months in, overall a good buy.
We picked this up on sale for $1799 plus tax ($1920ish). My wife is a marathon runner (so we wanted something decent) and has put hundreds of miles on this over the past 12 months. Initial setup was not effortless, but we managed. I had a friend come over and we unpacked it on the porch (where they'd left it) and carried parts down to the basement individually. The deck itself was 100+ lbs and required both of us to move down the stairs. Once down, I assembled (managed to squash a toe while moving it, yowza!), and took great care to assemble correctly. Everything fit and aligned without issue except for the handles which I couldn't get the plastic seams to align as well as I'd liked. They were by far "good enough" but I am a perfectionist and wanted it to line up perfectly... oh well! Pretty much any assembly required plastic product will have some tolerances they can land between and I'd say this is within those limits.Operationally the tablet is as expected on most any machine these days... It's some variant of Android or something and is just powerful enough to handle the task, but clearly not top of the line, which leads to slow load times and diminished user experience compared to having a top of the line processor... but it works. I think we had it lock up once and had to power cycle, but it's behaved fairly well compared to some of the reviews we read from others. It would have been nice if it had the ability to do Netflix or something in addition to iFit, but I'm sure they didn't want competing subscription options on there. The iFit runs are definitely good. I'm not sure if the wife renewed after the 1 year plan (seems over priced IMO), but she and the kids all enjoyed touring various places around the world as they worked out. But for $500/yr it's a lot cheaper to just turn on the TV...The fans on the unit are impressive. Our old treadmill we had to set up a separate fan to help, but these little guys aren't overly loud and move a lot of air. Those are a big win.The speakers are OK. Nothing to write home about, but they work. If you want music though, stick to earbuds. The only issue I had was after a few months, my wife was complaining that it seemed hard to run on and that she was struggling. I checked it out knowing that treadmills in general are more draining to run on that road running due to the bounce sapping some energy from your stride (think how running in sand is harder than on the road). But it wasn't the bounce, rather it was the incline. The treadmill was reporting 0 incline but was clearly (measured with a level) very off... I ran the diagnostic/maintenance auto-level feature and it didn't change. It went up all the way, down all the way, and set 0 back to this inclined position. We had to set the incline to -1.5 to get it back to flat. I opened a support ticket with NordicTrack and it took 3 weeks to get a reply (not good). They asked me to remove the shroud and film a video of the diagnostic lights as it went through the auto-level process. I took a couple months before bothering to disassemble and do this, and as I filmed the video, it all worked fine. The auto-level (which we had ran a half dozen times) worked and set level back to 0. Go figure. So not sure what that was all about...I also marked a chalk line and measured the belt length and recorded a video time-trial to see how "far" the belt distance is over a 10 minute span vs what is reported on the tablet and they were within 15 feet of each other over a half mile run... so 99.43% accurate. Not bad!I haven't lubricated the belt again as it is marked as "lifetime lubricated" but I have a hard time believing that and will likely lubricate it at some point.Overall, the treadmill has definitely gotten used. It was an expensive but good purchase and we'd do it again. Could it be better? Sure. Does it meet expectations, yes. Are we happy we bought it, yes.

Solid treadmill - buggy tablet (UPDATE: STAY AWAY)
11/16/2021 UPDATE:Save your money and spend it on a cheaper treadmill with no tablet so you can invest in the tablet separately. This is garbage, iFIT subscriptions are falling through after the first free year, since they are not that great but for the first time I have seen that the app is holding the entire tablet and treadmill hostage. They will not let you download anything else netflix, amazon prime or youtube on the tablet so you are forced to renew their subscription. Check out Youtube full of horror stories of people trying to find a hack for variety and entertainment but mostly because after spending $2000 on a treadmill you expect it to be yours and not owned by a corporation that twists your arm every time you do not cough up money to renew. iFit trainers are fine but they talk too much, I like my runs to be peaceful with a view of the moving trail but sometimes I want to watch something else so I am not being a couch potato. This is absolutely unacceptable. I regret this purchase and wish that I had invested in a cheaper treadmill with no tablet to buy a separate tablet to watch whatever I so desire on the run. Its shame, I cannot return this entrapment. Save your money, stay away!10/1/2020 UpdateThe Nordic track needs to get it together, the treadmill tablet has gotten bad to worse, it takes 3-5 minutes to boot up and 75-80% of the times shows an error and needs to be restarted. Most of the programs on it have buffering issues, error out, stop working and ruin the run for you. By the time you get it boot up, find something, its already 7 mins in and your mojo to run is dying. I am furious about this since the tablet is the only way to operate it. I MOSTLY do manual runs at this point without running an iFIT program, because it's JUST NOT WORTH THE WASTED TIME to get set up and use iFIT. No one wants to spend 10 minutes getting set up TO RUN- which should be pretty straightforward. Isn't that the whole point of running? If this is the state within 6 mos of purchase, I am afraid of what to expect down the road, if there is one. Its frustrating and no direct number to reach out to for support. BTW the Bluetooth to connect my (Bose) earphones worked just fine for me until the latest update on the tablet last week. Thanks for nothing!Pros- I have had this treadmill for a little over a month. The treadmill is sturdy, not as loud- although if you live in apartments, the sound and vibrations will carry based on the construction. The assembly was easy with well-written instructions. The incline and decline work smoothly throughout the workout. The iFit workout library is pretty exhaustive and offers something for all levels in addition to strength and HIIT workouts. Though its hard to see the screen when you are doing the floor exercises. I am glad I got the one with Bluetooth speakers and fans- that helps me go on longer by keeping the body temp down. The feather touch buttons can sometimes be an issue to be clicked twice but it's just something I have to get used to. The tablet size and quality is great - the iFit videos are a pure joy to work with on the high def screen.Cons: The iFit programs are great when they work- they cause lag in the workout at times and have frozen in between a run where I lost the progress. For the tablet size and treadmill cost, I would have liked a less buggy interface and smoother, quicker operation. I am not sure if I will continue with the subscription after the year is up but definitely the bugginess is an issue for me. I am concerned if the tablet will last me long to operate the treadmill. The treadmill takes a minute to boot up when you can start running- on multiple occasions the initiation failed and had to be rebooted 2-3 times to get it started.Additional must-haves:- I would really like to have the ability to project my phone on this tablet or have native apps on the tablet to play Netflix or Hulu. I am wondering if that's being considered as an option. If they can push that feature in the software update, that would be a great value add and great customer experience.- I would also love to have some iFit workout videos with just the trail views in different terrains but no audio or commentary over it. this is where I can choose to use the iFit workout and listen to podcasts or music during my run.
