Easy upgrade to cheap plastic OEM parts on '01 Excursion
After going through several pairs of the 'OEM' replacements for the vacuum-operated 'automatic' 4x4 front hub locks, I saw these and decided to pay a few extra dollars so I never have to replace the hub locks EVER again. These are SOLID, an obvious upgrade to the existing plastic-filled lockers that came on these trucks.I can get out and manually lock my hubs when I need 4x4, so it's not a great loss to have actual metal pieces doing the engaging action as a trade off. Installation was cake - it took more time to remove the siezed and broken OEM unit than it did to clean out the hub and slide these into place. It shoulhd have taken me less than 10 minutes if not for the stubborness of the old parts. Some people suggest using blue thread lock on the 6 bolts that keep everything together, but I haven't had any back out at all after several hundred miles so just tighten them up pretty good - they're literally the only parts you really have to do anything with, as everything else just slides into place. The way these are designed, you can see the interals and how everything works, and you'll know you've made the right choice here. I'm looking for shorter center caps for my factory rims, since these units are shorter than OEM lockers, but it's barely noticable so NBD. If you're looking for reliable, light-medium 4x4 upgrade bits, these are a great start to a killer off-road rig.

Quality and Affordable
Replaced my Warn hubs that no longer engaged on my 2000 F-250 super duty. Mile Marker part number 449s/s. Shipping was as promised. Packaging was good. Parts came without a scratch. Install was a breeze, after a call to tech support. Only thing I had to do was move the axle up and down and side to side to get the new lockouts to slide into the hub splines. At first I thought they wouldn't fit, so I called Mile Marker tech line and spoke with a guy that told me what and how to get them to slide in. I wiggled the axle shaft by grabbing the U-joint on the front axle shaft and moving it up and down and side to side and the hub slid right in. Perfect fit! The tolerance on these new hubs is so small just a little misalignment of the axle spline was enough to not let it slide in. There is very little play in the hubs when they slid in! Much less than the Warn hubs I took out. Test drove and they are working perfectly. Easy to engage and disengage. Would recommend these.

Work great and easy to install
Got these for a 2000 F250 that had been converted from autolocking hubs previously. The old hubs were stuck and unable to turn. These fit well and were a breeze to swap. The tire and wheel do not have to be removed for these to be replaced. The videos that show it to be a simple swap are accurate. Hubs are now easy to lock and unlock. Took a chance to save a little money on these and don't regret it at all. They are a little shorter than some other hubs so they won't come out flush with your lug nut covers. Otherwise they fit and work great.

Quality item.
These Mile Marker 449 SS hubs are replacing the original equipment hubs on my 2002 F350. They are high quality throughout. Installation is very straight forward. I am completely satisfied with these hubs. They work great.

Lasted me YEARS!
USE LOCTITE!I lost one of them on the road, it was later found, re-installed, and they still work now YEARS later!I suggest at least using some Blue Loctite on the screws. Easy install, easy to operate, have been using since September 2022, I have no complaints.Context for images, I shoved 2004 F350 axles under my 1996 F250 and painted the axles blue for some reason haha. Taken me through Mud, Snow, and outlasted my steering in some deep puddles... Couldn't steer but could move that's for sure!

Great heavy duty hubs both sides for less than cost of one stock ESOF hub
I had one hub and got these instead of replacing a single stock esof hub for my 03 superduty.I opted to get rid of the esof after I found out one of mine was not disengaging. I would never have known unless I had another problem. I need a reliable vehicle.I originally wanted the Warns because I had them on vehicles before. These have better material and the only drawback might be no orings on the allen screws. I'm not worried about having them under water so much and would oil them again. The price is half of the Warn premiums. And these need to be turned 1/4 instead of a smaller 1/8 turn on the Warns. These are great and seem to be a much better value. After inspecting and installing these I would not buy the Warns for the price difference.Easy install. Easy to turn. Very nice.

Great quality and price!
I purchased these in hopes they'd be half as good as my $300+ warn hubs and after seeing and using these I will probably never go back to warn these we're right at half the price and way better quality and durable so far. And that's my opinion after using them on a one ton swapped Cherokee on 43s so they see abuse! It's been a long time since I've been this happy with quality for cost.
