Watch Winder With Japanese Mabuchi Motor, 750, 1000, 1500 and 1800 TPD. (Black/GreyW1)

When the winder arrived, I was very pleased with the quality of it for the price. Fit and finish is good, it has enough space for larger watches. Motors are virtually silent. The first thing I did when setting the winder up was to check the number / direction of turns per day, and they didn't come close to matching the description. I contacted the seller, who was quick to respond and helpful. He offered either to exchange the winder for the correct one, or to send me the correct circuit board that I could install myself (I chose this option).Here's my warning: you REALLY need to be careful about the settings you choose for your watch. For this winder, it rotates in both directions on all 4 settings, and only the number of rotations per day changes. I use the winder with a number of different watches, and I've found that most of them will stay wound on the 1st setting. If I have a watch that needs to GAIN power on the winder, I put it on the 2nd position. And this is my concern... setting a watch to 1500 or 1800 turns per day can put undue wear on your watch, especially if it winds in both directions. Although technically it's not possible to "overwind" an automatic watch, it IS possible to subject the mainspring barrel to premature wear if the watch is constantly staying fully wound (I'm a watchmaker - I've seen the results). My suggestion, then, is to start with the 1st setting and see how your watch(es) work. If they keep running, leave it there; if they stop after several days, then move to the 2nd setting. I really can't imagine using the 3rd or 4th settings, but it's surely useful in rare cases.

I have used this watch winder for a few weeks now and I can attest to the quqlity of this product. it looks expensive and the controls are well built. I am using both motors and they operate with two separate controls. watches have not lost any time and are good to go everytime I want to pick them up. One thing that surprised me is the lack of any noise ! I have bought other brands before, specifically naming "Versa" brand and I can't stress enough how good this is in compared to those pieces of ****.

I had to revise my feedback on this winder. I have owned it for 16 months and now it's dead. I have sent an email to the seller/manufacturer for assistance. Other reviews indicate the seller is uncooperative. I will revise this review as the unit does function well until it dies. I don't want to be buying watch winders every 18 months. That's pathetic.

So far so good...I haven't had it long but it works out of the box which is a good sign. It was packaged well and it seems well made. It's virtually silent and overall a very nice looking piece for the price. I will buy again.

works well but for my dive watches I had to add a sock around the soft ball to make the watch tight. When I shut the lid the watches rub on the clear window. So I leave it open and it still works fine. Now when I pick a watch to wear it is on time.
