Must have this primer with Loctite.
If you use the industrial aerospace Red Loctite, then you must use the primer. It works on jet aircraft to prevent loosening of screws/nuts and will work for your lockdown of your exposed bolt on type of peripherals. Use a heat gun on high to cure to finishing strength. It would require a heat gun to release the bonded bolt/nut and will prevent thefts of any outdoor equipment. Unless they have the time and a heat gun to remove, they would damage or destroy what they are trying to thieve. They won't know this, until they try to unscrew the fasteners.

Works as advertised. I used it to cure Loctite 709 in an anaerobic (no air) aluminum to carbon fiber bicycle bottom bracket bond (Campagnolo Power Torque PF30 bearings in a carbon fiber bottom bracket shell). The bond has held up well under some extreme punishment, including many thousands of feet of climbing in the CO Rocky Mts, and I weigh 210Ibs.

This primer is wonderful. I use it in combination with 638 for metal on metal slip fit. I wish the brush reached the bottom of the bottle.

This is great stuff. I've had trouble getting Loctite 243 to cure on some stainless screws. Tried several different times after cleaning with alcohol and letting sit for 48 hours, but to no avail. I would remove the screw and could see the Loctite was still in liquid form on the threads.I brushed some of this stuff on the screw, reapplied the Loctite, and let it sit less than 12 hours. No issues with the screw backing out now!I took one star away because of the cost. My small tube of Loctite 243 was less than $8, but this stuff was almost $14. I wish they sold it in a smaller container. I don't need 1.75 oz. Nevertheless, I'm still pleased with the performance.

Fantastic! Saved a couple kids Sonicare toothbrushes
This saved two Sonicare kids toothbrushes. A screw inside came apart (outside of warranty, of course). My hubby disassembled and found the loose screw. But it is all stainless, so he needed this cleaner/primer to get the Loctite Red to cure properly. And months later the kids are still using the repaired toothbrushes with no loose screws.

Good stuff, clean it off like it tells you to.
This stuff is good as far as I can tell, bought to use with Loctite 545 on AN aluminum to aluminum fuel fittings. The instructions say to use this to clean the joint and wipe off, I didn't wipe off well enough I guess, and it cured the loctite to a hard gel in about 10 seconds. It sealed ok I think, but make sure you clean it completely.
