Totally love it
So, this is my first time using an eyelid tape. I have one eyelid that is way more hooded than the other. I didn't have any problems taking the cellophane wrap off the top because I read the reviews ahead off time and knew it was difficult. So I just took my own sharp tweezer and cut it and pulled it right back. It took me 5 or 6 times to find the right place to place it. I think I was expecting a miracle, but then I got logical, watched a couple of u tube videos that showed what it actually looks like to use tape. It helped a lot. If you have extra skin, there still is going to be extra skin. The point is to let your eyelid show a little right?I found that placing the bottom of the strip right at my crease was a good place. I have a little excess skin that hangs over the top, but really not much. My eyelid really shows alot! My left eye which is not as hooded, I place the tape a little below my crease and they are perfectly evened out. If the tape seems like it's not sticking perfectly in one area, just wet your finger and dab a little on the area. It works perfectly. It comes off easily when your ready to remove it, which I wanted. You don't want anything that pulls on your eye. What I can say is don't overthink it when your trying to learn how to apply it. Watch some videos, it will relax the whole process for you. I was stunned when I did. It was actually really simple and it took years off my face to be able to see my eyelids again. It's probably better to put any eye liner on first. It is a tape, so anything you put on your eyes is subject to getting on the tape right?I haven't put eyeshadow on first, then applied the tape, many say they do that and it still adheres just fine. I have put a lighter eyeshadow on after I applied the tape, and it was fine. Just apply carefully. Definitely will by again. I received the large size first. Medium size is coming. Large workout perfectly for me.

From the original 5 stars review to 1 star on "buy it again"
Update: my original 5-star review still stands for the half oval laces that I received the first time. The second time I couldn't find them on Amazon and I had to buy the full ovals. I opened the package of ovals and, as expected there was a little spray bottle but the lace had no glue on it! There is nothing that gets sticky when wet! Total crap! Now, back to my previous review on the half-ovals:It takes practice (a very little) and if you don't get it right then you have to start again with a new lace but...There are lots of lace pieces provided so you aren't going to hurt if you have to try again to get it set in the right place and although I've had to discard and reapply a tape that wasn't set on the right place, I didn't have to redo the eyeshadow. I used a cotton bud to lightly 'soak' it off and, no smudged eyeshadow. Yes, I was surprised too.It is almost invisible even to someone standing close. I complete my (powdered) eye shadow look before I apply the tape as the netting texture shows a bit if you do the color afterward, apply the tape, and a light tap of color to touch it up over top of the tape sets the illusion perfectly. It stays stuck until it gets rewetted. Applying powder first doesn't affect how it stays on. It still does a great job.

Been using for months, but now itching my eyelids and not staying on....
I've been wearing these for months. I had a bad batch once where the adhesive stayed stuck to the sheet, but that was only in 1 of the 5 batches I've ordered and used and the company quickly swapped me for a fresh set.HOWEVER, my most recent batch is itching my eyelids and they aren't sticking either. The other batches have stayed all day- I could wear them for 2 days with no issues. I'm not sure what changed, but I'm not happy. I LOVE these things- I love the way they lift my eyelids and make me look so much younger!I'm going to try another set to see if it was just a fluke.

Best eyelid product I've tried!
I have unevenly hooded eyes which have been a big insecurity of mine for awhile. I've tried lots of different eyelid tapes to correct them and these are definitely the best I've used. They're more comfortable and less noticeable than traditional eyelid tapes. Are they completely imperceptible? No, but I do think someone would have to be looking pretty closely to be able to see it. I've included a before and after photo so you can see the difference (please excuse my eyebrows, they need a grooming lol). This kit is much more expensive than traditional eyelid tape, but I do think it's worth the price.I've been using these for about a month now. Here are some tips from my experience:1. They're packaged with a clear cellophane on top of each sheet of eyelid laces. Maybe I'm just dumb but I didn't realize this when I first opened them and I ruined one. You need to remove the cellophane from the sheet first before you try to grab an eyelid lace.2. The adhesive is on the side that sticks to the plastic sheet. Spray that side with water to apply.3. If necessary, you can trim them with small beauty scissors to better suit your eyelid shape. (Do this while they're dry)4. They're more forgiving than you think. If I mess up the positioning when I first place it on my eyelid I can generally move it around while it's still wet to fix it.5. If it's uncomfortable, add more water. I use a decent amount of water when I initially apply the eyelid lace, and I like to "seal" it on top with water as well. I just get my fingertips wet and gently tap them on top of the eyelid lace once it's positioned where I want it. Sometimes I'll add more water on top with my fingertips if my eyelid is getting irritated with long wear of the lace.
