I have live, neutral and earth wires coming from a standard light switch. which wires do i connect to l0, l1 and n?

If you have same package as me - look at diagram on side of box, states Li, Lo, N as on unit, you may have read incorrectly on the unit as it is hard to see if you do not get the light quite right! Li is live in, Lo is Live out, and N is Neutral. however - Since you mention the Live, Neutral and Earth coming from a standard switch, BIG word of caution, a normal light switch only switches a LIVE, ( live in - live out) with an earth connection in the back box so the live IN is brown, the return (Live OUT) will be blue, so your 'Neutral' will be the return LIVE which should have been sheathed Brown to go to a lamp normally (or taped brown) to identify as a LIVE feed - this is mandatory on a normal electrical installation!! There are no other terminals for a neutral. In modern lighting lamp fittings there are normally multiple terminals to facilitate the switch , lamp and live feed IN. Did not mean to make this a lecture, and apologies if have misread your question and you are already aware of the above, but safety 1st, also turn off electric to circuit while installing as per every instruction set I have ever read!

Will this be compatible with LED lamp please?

Yes, it's simply a switch controlled by daylight and LEDs are low energy lamps which, if 220-240Vac have very low current.

Can this only be used as a dusk til dawn or does it have a switch to turn it off/on too

There is no switch just dusk til dawn, you could always wire a switch into the circuit.

Can this be used to operate a small fan from a 12v car battery

The sensor has to be sited so it is facing north and it obviously has to be fixed in that position permanently. I do not know the internal working of the sensor ie if it needs to have a 240 volt supply to make it work, I suspect it is just a switch so it should work off 12volt supply. Hope that helps
