How does air pump attach/work

The 12V air pump and easy inflate valve let you inflate or deflate the mattress in seconds. The valve closes immediately when the air pump is removed to prevent air from escaping. Use the mouth valve if the air pump is unavailable. Powered by the 12V auto plug (cigarette lighter).

Dimensions so I can buy sheets, etc?

After being inflated my mid size truck bed air mattress was 76" L X 41" W X 7" H. 3 inches narrower than advertised.

Can a battery operated mattress pump be used to inflate the mattress?

Yes, that’s what we used and it inflated really fast. It didn’t even make it one night though. We had to re inflate it twice the first night and the second night we just slept on the ground on foam pads rather than have to wake up to re inflate it throughout the night.
