Cheap Reeds, and that's a good thing.
Cheap, as in inexpensive. I found these reeds to play very well and consistent from reed to reed. In the past I have spent $35 or more per box and found 3 of 10 reeds worth playing. Here all 10 are good.

Vandoren JUNO Reed #2
These Vandoren JUNO REED are great for beginners on ALTO SAX. When my first child started band15 years ago, the store had the traditional Vandoren and I am not sure if this JUNO series was available back then. Now that my youngest boy is starting band, he is starting with his older brother Alto SAX. The Vandoren Traditional #2 is not as easy to use vs Juno REEDS. My youngest boy and I had a hard time to make sounds or even trying to play a note. We were out of breath quick! I founds these recently and bought it, after watching reviews of other peoples videos and reading up on it. I Gave it a shot. When I received this JUNO REED. I gave it a try and I was shocked, that I was able to get sounds with this JUNO REED #2 with ease vs Vandoren Traditional #2. My youngest child tried it out and was surprise that he was able to play note with Vandoren JUNO REED #2 with ease. I Was going try cheaper Brands or UNKOWN brands, thank goodness I didn't buy it. I am satisfied with JUNO REED even though I am not into instruments, but i as able to play some type of notes! My lil' one likes it also. If your starting to learn Alto Sax, Vandoren Juno Reed is going to be the best choice and less headache when trying to decide what to buy. I have not tried any other Name brands for beginners to this date 9/08/2025. If other brands work for you by all means stick with it. My oldest had Vandoren traditional and other Brands of #2, #2.5 and #3 REEDs that I tried and for beginners in his case. Those were not as easy to start with. There is a video about a Music teacher that uses this JUNO REED and explains with details to help with purchasing the right REED for a beginner. Only if I made a video with the other reeds before tossing it out. You will notice right away, that Vandoren JUNO REED will surprise you. I bought the 10 pack and each pack is individually wrap in a hard plastic sleeve/case. I hope this Information helps you make a decision on choosing REEDS.

Great reeds for jazz band!
These are my favorite brand of reeds! Not a bad price for the quality of them! Long lasting and good sound :)

Great sound
These reeds are easy for my grandson to use for learning the alto saxophone and produce a better sound quality than other brand reeds. Great quality and functionality.

Perfect for kids!
Per my daughter's band teacher suggestion, we bought 2.5 Vandoren reeds. My daughter is 11 and she is just learning, so when I learned on my research that kids should start with sizes 1.5 or 2.0, I was concerned. But he should know better I thought, so we bought the Vandoren 2.5 traditional ones. Two days later, I found these in my Amazon suggestions, and I learned the Juno model 2.5 is equivalent to the 1.5 -2.0 traditional Vanderen. Suddenly, everything made sense! It seems she can play better with the Juno now. She will ugrade to the traditional reeds with time. My only concerm, is that the Juno company, noth in their website and here in Amazon, is not very newbie-friendly on their descriptions. A comparative chart among different models of reeds could help us tremendously.
