What is the difference between this and the ROS20VSK version? Just the carrying bag? Does the 'K' version have anything this one does not?

will the dust collection connection on the sander body accept a vacuum hose?

There is an adapter (part # VAC002) that will adapt the sander to standard vacuum hose sizes (1-1/4" & 1-1/2" hoses).

My new ros20vsc, set at 6, slows noticeably if i just set it on a suface to sand. is this normal?

Is 1/16" cupping in the disc normal?

I would say that a small amout of "cupping" is normal. As to 1/16 of an inch, I think that is a little much. Most of the sanding takes place on the outer edge of the disc. As it rotates the dust is sucked into the 8 holes in the center of the disc. In order to flatten out the disc, you would have to put more pressure than normal. My experience with this brand of random orbit sander is that the more pressure you put on the sander, the slower the disc turns. You need to have at least a moderate rate of rotation to keep putting new cutting surfaces forward and to get a decent "scrambling" of sanding marks.If your sander is older, you may want to purchase a new disc. They are relatively inexpensive. If the sander is newer you may want to see if the dealer or manufacturer will replace the disc.
