How long should a AGM battery last--what is it's life expencancy

George I got my first xmc-31 5 years ago. I am an avid fishing guy and figured 5 years was pretty good. So I recently bought another one to replace it. They are great batteries.

What should I charge it to

Charge it to full, any auto charger will fill it to 100%. My evinrude 250 with a 60 amp alternator charges it all the way in a couple of high speed runs out to my fishing spots
