How does the cat play with these springs?

you can see how my 2 cats playing with both thin and wide version of those strings in the video review was posted on December 23/2014. They're pretty funny to watch.

Do these come with a tracking device? I bought a dozen of a similar toy a while back and now my cat and I can't find them. (We may have ninjas.)

Look under your refrigerator. My cat loves playing on the tile floor. I use a very long handled toy and use the long thin pole to sweep them out. Instant kitty party.

Are these solid plastic or coated wire coils?

Solid plastic. I sometimes step on one and break it, so I just snap off the small broken bit and back into play it goes. My cats don't chew them into pieces, they just bat them all over and carry them around.

Where were these manufactured?

I have both the large and small springs made in China and distributed by a company in Bloomfield, NJ. I couldn't find anything like these that are actually manufactured in the USA.
