Beware
I always liked Fram but with my new F-150 I have an oil filter in a tough place to get your typical oil filter jaw or strap type wrench on. So I went out and bought one of those end of filter cap wrenches that does allow enough clearance to use with a ratchet handle. The Fram though with the added black sprayed on rough grip solution actually does not allow my filter wrench to fit . It does have the indention's in the filter to take the filter cap wrench but the sprayed on grip stuff is just thick enough that I cannot get my cap end device to fit on the Fram filter.

High quality filter.
Definitely can tell this is a good filter. Has a lot of weight to it unlike some of the cheaper filters.I have a 2012 Ford F-150 3.5 Ecoboost now with over 115k miles. I use 5 quarts Pennzoil synthetic and 1 quart of synthetic Lucas changed every 3k with a Fram synthetic oil filter. I have no timing chain issues or rattle on start-up like a lot of other people seem to have with the Ecoboost engine.

If you do your own oil Ultra Synthetic is the way to go
You can watch countless videos on you tube where people cut up oil filters and compare the insides Fram Ultra is a solid choice and I use their filters exclusively for all my oil changes. Synthetic oil probably doesn’t even need to be changed after 10k still looks good as new (I do always change it though.) Amazon seems to have a fair price but recently waart has upgraded their selections to include these higher end filters so you should always compare costs. I generally purchase a few at a time when I see the price dip.

Installed on 2015 Traverse FWD
Fit fine in the 2015 Traverse. As you may know it is a tight fit for this model. The black section is a high grip area so it is easy to twist on or off. I will be using these in the future as long as I have no issues with it lasting long enough between oil changes.

Not for 2015 Acadia with AC
I’m not sure what is meant by ‘sheerness’ in a product review...Purchased for a 2015 GMC Acadia.Could NOT get this to catch the threading on the engine. There was an obstruction nearby, but I think it could have been overcome by having the threading closer to the edge of the filter.

FRAM 10575 FITS BOTH 2012 SILVERADO 1500 5.3 AND 2017 TRAVERSE 3.6!
I like only having to buy 1 type oil filter for both vehicles also both vehicles use the same oil 5 quarts synthetic plus 1 quart of Marvel Mystery Oil every oil and filter change. Yes the Fram 10575 filter fits the Silverado 5.3 just fine, no problem! Try it,you will see it for your self.

Have used Fram oil and air filters for many years ...
Have used Fram oil and air filters for many years. This one was installed on 2012 Mustang with 3.6L V-6. Who really knows how well oil filters work, but have never had any engine problems in my cars using Fram filters since 1972.

Does not fit 08 Jeep Liberty
Used to buy this filter for my 08 Jeep Liberty. I’m not sure if something changed, but this filter is too larger to thread on my vehicle. amazon still says it will fit my vehicle, probably should be updated.

Great filter for synthetic oil
The filter itself seems to be of high quality, and is rated for a long service life. I have switched from K&N to Fram Ultra on both of my cars now, as they seem to be a better value, at similar quality.Per manufacturer recommendations (see your owners manual), some vehicles now recommend one filter change per 2 oil changes. Especially for this type of application, I highly recommend a Fram Ultra filter.I did like the 1" hex not on the K&N filters, however, this is the only con I had when switching over from K&N to Fram Ultra. The K&N filters may take more pressure before bursting the case (how often does that ever happen anyway!), but the Fram Ultra seems to be similar in filtration and quality, and is less expensive.I only use high quality filters, and Fram Ultra is my new favorite.

No, FRAM has Quality Issues
After extensive search, and reserach, FRAM is the worst oil filter. I have seen far more expensive oil filters nearly double the price but their mileage is 23,000 or 28,000 km. It is impossible, infeasible, and incomprehendible that this FRAM filter would last +30,000 km as they claim.Best to go with the OEM filter that came with your car from the factory to be 100% safe. But no, FRAM does not make best filters.

Always FRAM on my own vehicles
I have been using FRAM filters (on my own vehicles) for 20+ years now. Never once had a problem. The fiberglass woven into the synthetic filter media, gives it the strength and durability for the extra distance driven. As well the media is much denser for better filtration of fine particles. Just by holding a new conventional and synthetic in each hand, the weight difference is easily apparent. On cheaper filters, (when I am changing them) looking down inside, you can see that heat and fluid contact has caused the filtering material to begin to buckle. Love the 'sure grip' texture on the filter housing. Makes changing a breeze. Wish this is what we used at the shop (I am a licensed mechanic).

Great value filters
I always have one of these on hand for my oil changes. Not much to say about them other than the value is great. They have the nice rubbery bottom grip so that your filter removal tools don't slip. Otherwise, they are great filters, do the job well and are priced great.

Doesn't Replace OEM Spec Oil Filter 2017 Chev Silverado 5.3
Much smaller than OEM. Not as much filter capacity on my 5.3 liter Chev Silverado. Amazon said its. Yes, it screws on with a gasket match, but this engine holds 7 liters of oil. Will need to change it between oil changes. Waste of $$$
