High-Quality, Latex-Free BP cuff (Love It!)
I’m very pleased with the quality and size of this MDF blood pressure cuff. It even comes with a protective carrying case, which makes it easy to store and transport. I love that it’s latex-free; perfect for sensitive users and safe for all patients. Minimal assembly is required, and while directions weren’t included, it only took a couple of quick, simple steps to put together. The lifetime calibration guarantee is a huge bonus. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely buy it again!

Very Well-made. Easy to read black dial
I'm a retired physician. I bought the extra large sphygmomanometer. The red needle against black, let alone its increased size, make it much easier to read. The manometer gauge is weighty, as should any gauge that's well-made. The non-latex cover keeps it from shock damage. The air release valve works buttery smooth, which also points to nice engineering. The tubing and inflation bulb don't feel like cheap plastic, are latex free, and heavy duty.I opted for the black dial with red needle, because it's easier for me to see, but it costs more than the white dial gauges. If you want to buy a quality sphygmomanometer, which won't require replacement, and you want to save money, buy the white dial form, but don't waste your money on other substandard brands. I've opted for the German engineered MDF over ADC or Welch Allyn, all of which I've used.I don't go into an office anymore. My husband has heart issues and I still have folks who need to be checked. I trust my eyes and ears over a automatic digital BP monitor. My goto is the MDF sphygmomanometer paired with either my Littman or ADC cardiac stethoscope.

Update - Able to use it to measure myself without D Ring. Large meter is very nice!
See update below!Original title "Very disappointed - no D ring - too difficult to use - poor instructions"I was anxiously awaiting my MDF sphygmomanometer and my MDF stethoscope as I am starting fasting and reversing hyperinsulinemia and wanted before and after metrics. I thought that I had searched on Amazon for sphygmomanometers with a D Ring. I researched the MDF stethoscope; it appears to be excellent value. I thought that the MDF brand would be a step above. I paid more than others to get better quality. The Calibra Pro 58 sphygmomanometer has a larger dial with some nice features, and the cuff isn't cheap PVC. I thought that I had checked all of the boxes. How disappointing to find that it's basically impossible to properly put the cuff on one's self without a D-ring; the product was unusable. It's a shame as the pressure gauge is very sleek, weighs a ton, and appears to be very nice quality. Alas I could not use it on myself...Additional note, the instructions are lacking. It's simple text with no diagrams to show how the cuff is put on, which way to orient the tubes, where approx the appropriate artery is located, or how to apply the stethoscope properly. Two suggestions for the manufacture and seller:1) A warning in the description that there is no D ring and that it is no appropriate for self use.2) Redo your instructions with some diagrams to clarify its use.Update 6/18/2024 - Long term update==============================I love this sphygmomanometer after figuring out how to use it on myself. If one sets the cuff correctly, then one simply slides it onto the arm and inflates without having to adjust it each time. So now I conclude that a D ring isn't necessary. I love the large meter, and the cuff is usable for self measurements. By placing the cuff appropriately and tucking the stethoscope disk under the edge, one can easily measure one's self. Perhaps this should be in the manual, something like "Tips for Self Measurement".Changing form 3 to 5 stars.

The larger gauge is wonderful
I’m a home health nurse so my equipment really gets a workout. This one is probably the most well made I’ve bought in a very long time. I usually end up replacing them about every 6-8 months but this one seems like it might last. It’s made of a sturdy material and the stitching is perfect. The Velcro adheres great and I don’t see it wearing out anytime soon. I especially like the oversized gauge. Getting older sucks but this helps me see it so much easier. The ONLY reason I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating was because the deflate is very touchy. If I do it slowly it seems to avoid deflation then abruptly deflates once I turn the knob past a certain point. It’s not a big issue. I just had to get use to it because it doesn’t deflate as easily as most. Now that I’m use to it I am able to deflate at the appropriate rate in order to get an accurate blood pressure on my patients. I also wish it came with, or you could purchase, a larger cuff.

Arrived with the needle stuck on 280
For such an expensive BP cuff, I would have thought that it would have arrived calibrated properly. It arrived with the needle stuck on 280. Very dfdisappointed that the cheapest cuffs are better calibrated.
