DreamQuest Mini PC - Overall impressions
I read some of the reviews about this, and did a bit of research on Google about the N95 processor. I also searched ebay for some pc's with i7 processors, all these were refurbished of course. Refurbished can come with risks imp, just how old are those components? Kinda like getting a clocked car.I was tied up about this but in the end, the small size format and of course the fact that the unit was brand new, together with the specification swung it for me really.I found the setup a doddle, not fast (about 40 minutes all told), but if you do what you're told, carefully, it works. The result is a Windows 11 pc that boots up in about 20 seconds, has16gb RAM and a chunky SSD drive. Options include adding a memory card in the available slot and multiple hdmi sockets, use if you want.I was able to set it up with my Office 365 account and then set up most of my contacts, desktop options etc.The consensus is that it isn't a games machine. I say go get an xbox for that. I purchased this so that I can surf the Web, use spreadsheets and word processing and act as a medium for storing and uploading the family holiday photos. It's a very different requirement and it works well for me. It's nice and fast for the things I want it to do and doesn't sit there on the floor as a heavy, unmanageable base unit. It's just simple, minimal fuss computing without the geeky extras I never wanted in the first place!

Pretty good little computer
Decided to go for this instead of another Dell refurb. The price is about the same. Also bought two new UHD monitors to go with it. Set it up with both monitors on a tree mount and reused an older monitor off to the side. Mounted the computer so I can turn it on as I pass. One immediate thing, which is a non-issue, but humorous none-the-less, is the mount holes are on the "bottom" side depending on how you look at it. The power button is on the top, the video cables dangling down and the USB points toward where I sit. When mounted this way the logo is upside down. If set free standing (on the only empty side), the logo would be sideways. It boots fast, way faster than my old computer (but then it is new and not clogged with programs). When booting, it has to finish some set up (downloading, installing, account setup), so it's best to have it connected to the network on the first power up. I was sent some instructions from the seller on what to do, for which I'm grateful. It also comes with a large sticker about powering it up the first time. I experienced some badly timed power outages, but I was running on an UPS, so it managed to plow through several network disruptions and install everything.Instead of handing down my old computer and inflicting it upon my child (who's computer had just dies days ago), I bought a second DreamQuest to replace that one as well. All three screens look fantastic (even the old one). Due to the higher resolution of UHD, all my wallpaper (much of it scalped from Windows) is now 1/4 its original size. I'm not a gamer, so I haven't tried to put it through the paces, so I can't attest to its gaming quality, but it does seem pretty promising. The compact size compared to the old desktop freed up significant space on my desktop. It came with an external power supply, so if you're using an UPS, it requires a regular socket, not a kettle lead.It comes with a small hanging mount that you can screw into place and hang it from (switch side up), as well as 4 small screws which appear to be for mounting to a plate (I'm guessing) or VESA mounting to the back of the monitor (which my monitors are not).Being small form factor, it doesn't come with a CD/DVD/B-Ray player, so you will need an external USB player if you require one, or have to install anything from CD.I'm pretty happy with it so far. Hopefully I won't have to come back with any edits.First Edit (it's a good one): While it doesn't have an internal speaker, only a 1/8" jack, it does have Bluetooth, so you can connect it to a Bluetooth speaker, such as Alexa. (Change the computer name to something you like if you're connecting it to an Alexa.)

Well worth it...
Cracking little chinese pc - easy to upgrade the storage, but shame that the memory can't be increased beyond the 16Gb built in. handled everything I've chucked at it so far.
