AS Rock PRO4-M LGA1155 Intel H77 Quad CrossFireX SATA3 USB3.0 A V GbE MATX Motherboard H77

This is my first build with AS Rock and I'm very pleased. I usually buy asus but this was the right price. Solid board, easy build, and efi bios is nice. As other reviewers have mentioned the side mount sata connections are a PITA (pain in the azz) but I will only have to do it once. I'll probably go with AS Rock on my next build.

Looks great, has good functionality, and bios is great. I looked at plenty of motherboards before finally choosing this one. I didn't like the blues/yellows/reds and pci slots other motherboards had. Some pros are: 4x pci-e slots (3x x16, 1x x1), black pcb, 4x 6 gbps sata, 4x ram slots, and usb 3.0. It also has plenty of fan headers if you ever need them. It also has support for 2 different sized heatsink mounting options.Some may say that the audio header has bad placement but I don't really find that an issue; many other motherboards have it on the bottom left corner, meaning that there will be a lot of tension on the front panel audio connector. With the audio header in the middle, the cable can just sit on top of the back of the graphics card. The audio header gets squished by the graphics card, but that's not really a big deal, the front panel audio still functions as it should. Another thing that may be controversial is how the usb ports are powered on when the computer is powered off. It bothers me that some portion of the computer is still pulling power when it's powered off. The front of my card reader is also lit up because of this feature.My biggest complaints for the mobo is the back i/o, plugging a usb cable in from the back feels like you're going to rip the connectors off the pcb. The i/o shield in the back is really flimsy; it's just one layer of thin sheet metal (almost like aluminum foil). The last complaint would be how fast the fans are spinning, in the bios options it gives you 9 levels of fan speed. While running 3 fans (front intake, cpu fan, back outake) at level 1 speed, my computer would be louder than my old motherboard which had 5 fans.

When I made my purchase I kept it simple as I'm building my first computer. I decided h77. No overclocking and no voiding warranty's. I received this this mobo and Slapped it all together and crossed my fingers and it runs great. The GUI is great and it's very functionable. There is some cool gimmicky features that I didn't use but it's nice that they're there. Great product

This motherboard has been nothing but a headache for me. I had 2 graphic cards (Radeon 7850) fail on me, and after the second failed I figured maybe it was my power supply, which I replaced. Now my 3rd graphics card is acting up, which means it has to be the motherboard. I read online about people having issues with the PCI 3.0 port, so be careful. Better to go with a quality brand (MSI, Gigabyte, Asus) instead of saving money and going with Asrock, who clearly has quality control issues. The motherboard should NOT be skimped on, take it from me. Thanks to Amazon's wonderful return policy, I did not have to buy new graphics cards and am returning this motherboard now, but the stress and aggravation really confirmed that Asrock is not worth buying.

Pros:1) Pretty simple board to setup2) Good price3) Overall quality seems good.Cons1) Don't even think about overclocking it.2) Bios and drivers are outdated (on website)3) Software for controlling the MB in Windows is not good compared to ASUS.I bought this board for the price, to keep my HTPC downsize to a reasonable cost. It met that obligation, and it runs great with proper cooling. I am disappointed in the board overall, because I am a tweaker and like to overclock. This board does not overclock well because of poor heatsinks on the VRM. If you are looking for gaming performance..look elsewhere.Overall though I can't say it is a bad board, just mediocre. I think I will stick with Asus from now on.

PROS: Reliably runs DDR3-1600, wealth of connections,including SATA3, very nice BIOS, although I never tried to overclock yet.CONS: I understand the need to orient SATA connectors horizontally - there is no mounting screw nearby so these are just hanging in the air on all mATX boards. What makes it worse is the fact that you will need a RIGHT angle SATA connector. Most common is LEFT angle connector and this is exactly what is bundled - shame on ASRock. In my case this became a major problem and I had to use mini-SATA cable.Also front panel audio connector is literally under my video card. Not very convenient.The above is not serious enough to ruin the goods.

I've been using Asus and Gygabyte motherboards for ages and hadn't never had any issues with them. I had hear good things about this AS Rock board from some people, so I'd thought I'd venture to buy new brand and model for my new build's mobo. Well, let's say that I was not impressed. The board came DOA. No DVI or VGA signal whatsoever. Went to their website, found the product page but all they have there is the same information/manual they include with the board. There was no troubleshooting or installation or anything else specific to this mobo. I spent the better part of the day debugging, to make sure it was the motherboard and not any other of the components. Eventually, it was clear the motherboard was defective. I sent it back to amazon for a refund and given this experience, I will not be recommending this board or AS Rock motherboards lest they wish risking wasting a day debugging hardware.

Bought this to replace an Asus board that died after a month of use. This one was cheaper, and apparently of higher quality (it has yet to die). Easy installation, good BIOS interface, comprehensive instructions, better value.I did note that the audio connector was strangely positioned right next to the the pci 3 slot. As a result, my video card squishes the cord. Strange but otherwise irrelevant oversight.

De momento va como la seda. Primera vez que monto un equipo completo. Buen precio, buen rendimiento, envío amazon impecable. UEFI intuitiva. Para mí recomendable si buscas mATX.

Habe mir dieses Board gekauft weil ich auf Intel Prozessor umgestiegen bin. Das Board ist nicht schlecht hat leider sehr wenigSteckplätze nur die neuen PCIe kein PCI da die Erweiterungskarten die ich benutze auch für PCIe gibt ist das wiederum für mich keine Einschränkung. Wenn man damit klar kommen tut macht man mit diesen Board nichts Falsch ob sich das auch für Spiele eignet kann ich so nicht sagen PC-Spiele ist weniger mein Intressenraum.

I decided to buy this because it had good reviews and seemed great for my needs. Unfortunately the motherboard doesn't come to life no matter wha I tried. It's a pity because It seemed good, but now I will have to buy something different and I am without a working desktop, because it arrived defective. Asked for a replacement, amazon was quick in sending it, I had a new one within 2 days.More or less. Lucians' review sums it up.Pros:a) good, solid motherboard, easy hardware installation, easy drivers and utilities installation from mobo CD.b) too many choices, even for the demanding user, SATA3,USB3, HDMI, Crossfire etcc) good utilities to control it from within windowsCons:a)6 of the 8 SATA (II &III) ports are horizontal, so it is extremely difficult to connect any cables once you install the mobo in the case, specially if it's a small case like mine. So I sugest you plug the SATA cable in the mobo before you put it in, it will save you a lot of troubleb)ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility (AXTU) doesn't let you control case fan speed, you have to do it from bios. Didn't find any use in the other utilities that are bandled with the mobo CD.All in all this motherboard represents quality and great value for money.

Ho acquistato la motherboard per assemblare un gaming computer basato su architettura intel i5.La motherboard arriva corredata di manuale cartaceo (multilingua italiano compreso), dvd di driver ed utilità e due cavetti sata di media qualità.Sia i manuali che i drivers sono recuperabili anche dal sito ben fatto e prodigo di informazioni della asrock.Direi che sicuramente il prodotto vale i soldi che vengono chiesti. Fa parte di una ipotetica classe media di prodotti, il formato è quello a standard micro atx che permette una buona espandibilità senza grossi sacrifici. Per una macchina semplice e funzionale ne avrete "d' avanzo".Personalmente ho optato per una scheda video gtx650 che tiene due slot posizionata nel pci x 3.0 per sfruttarla appieno, sono presenti altri due slot a piena lunghezza ed uno a lunghezza ridotta.La piastra permette di configurare RAID array con unità sata (non presenta opzioni di tipo PATA peraltro) che trovo molto interessante.Il socket cpu arriva coperto da un pratico coperchio (da tenere per eventuali futuri smontaggi) per evitare che si depositi polvere.Il montaggio (premesso che si sappia cosa si sta facendo) fila via liscio e senza intoppi (dipende anche dal case utilizzato) ed in pochi minuti si monta quasi tutto.Ci sono diverse opzioni per montaggio di ventole e dissipatori e parecchie alimentazioni tachimetriche per ventole supplementari.Per la ram sono presenti 4 slot totali (supporto max 32GB) ovviamente con supporto dual channel che consiglio di sfruttare.Non ho ancora utilizzato le utility fornite che promettono velocizzazioni di rete, usb e quantaltro. Di solito non mi fido troppo di questi orpelli ma mi riprometto di installarli almeno per testarli.La ricomprerei? si certo.
