Q: what is the mattress dimensions? Is there room to add a thicker mattress or sleeping gear while this is closed?

This is a thick very comfortable mattress.

Q: Does it come with crossbars that will support the tents weight plus people inside?

It does come with mounting bars, but not the cross bars. I made my own cross bars using scrap 8020 aluminum from work, but you could use unistrut.

Q: I have a 2022 subaru crosstrek hybrid with flush roof rails... will this fit?

Firstly, You will need to ensure you have crossbars for your rails. Secondly, you will want to ensure you have a little clearance to put your arm under the crossbars to tighten the pop-up tent clamps to your crossbar. We used a longer wrench to get the job done. If you want to post a pic of your rails and crossbars, we can give you a more customized answer.

Yes, the tent comes with mattresses and plenty of space to put whatever you want
