The compass is a useful little gadget
A reliably little gadget, better than my electronic compass, also a best seller.Useful, as a compliment to a GPS, which does not tell me the direction, especially when I am not moving. But it points to the magnetic north, susceptible to a big magnet, such as the one in a loudspeaker, whereas when I'm moving, the GPS uses true north intrinsically.

Works
Cheap but good as a backup to my military compass. No, I don't take my $800 phone out into the woods with me.

Inaccurate
I tested it out and I found that the compass is inaccurate. Usually about 15 to 25 degrees off where north really is.Also it needs a COMPLETELY flat surface to be somewhat functionally.Cool markings for maps but they are kinda pointless if the compass itself is inaccurate.
